Personally I am dreading the OTA since mine is working & all I know of it is the flash support will be removed despite my having paid for it with flash... I will shut off automatic updates until I see the reaction of the BlackBerry passport diaspora to see if it breaks their fone...

This has probably been the most failed OS update fiasco in history. BlackBerry must have so few people working on software these days.

They need to just get it out there asap because they're really turning away a lot of people with this crap. I don't really even care about the update any longer, but it's just pathetic that it's taken this long.

I still have 10.2.1 and am looking forward to 10.3 but ultimately if I'm just talking, text, bbm, reading the news and crackberry not a whole lot will change with 10.3 will it.

I'll admit blend sounds interesting but I like to use my phone for those things, hence why I have a BlackBerry!

I think BlackBerry should manage more seriously the updates announcements. I agree with people saying that it's better a solid and stable update than a faster one with bugs but it's time to give customers a more trustable timeline.

Do you think they are just sitting on a completed OS and having a party at BlackBerry, or do you think they are still trying to finalise the official release?

You can't simply say all the bugs will be worked out by 2:15 next Thursday - that's not how development works.

They will update as soon as it's ready. The estimate was sometime in February that it will BEGIN to roll out. What are they not "managing" correctly?

There is some discussion going on on Polish BlackBerry forum. Q5 user running 10.2.1.3062 (thanks piotrekd1) reported getting the OTA update as in the screen


He did not manage to install though, as apparently ran out of memory. Freeing up some space didn't help.

With every release candidate, a limited number of devices receive the update to test the channels and the update process itself.

Oh yes they are sitting on one, but they ain't having a party, they are just watching how many more classics they sold by giving them 10.3.1 before anyone else, they counted three till now!

I love how ppl claim BlackBerry is fixing bugs. Right, im more than happy with my q10 running 10.3.x since 10.3.0.600 and didn't encounter any serious bug, but sure you keep waiting for that magic bug free ota update

Edit: also, Porsche z10 (9983) and the new q10 with z30 radio (classic) have no troubles running the new update but keep flattering yourself that BlackBerry is just trying to fix bugs for legacy devices. They are not...
