So I have been loving 10.3 over the week end but now my first day back at work I found a major disappointment.
I have been using the calendar app to save phone numbers with ticket numbers that I use for work.
I would save the phone number, in this format 555-555-5555w7777777 where the 7s are my ticket number.
The thing is, I need to type a 1 to log on and a 2 to log off.
In 10.2 I was able to still use the dial pad during the wait time but that is no longer available in 10.3.

This is a big setback for me.
Sure, I am using a leaked OS but I really hope they fix this.

Being able to automate this was really helpful. Now I have to go back to typing this stuff in manually.

You answered your own question. You're using a leaked os.

If the official did it properly, then go back to that. Blackberry doesn't plan these leaks, so they can't say "hey, make sure build 1484 is perfect because it's gonna be leaked" they take code out and work on it and add it back. Nothing is perfect until the final release.

No, I didn't answer my own question. This isn't a bug, this is a feature change. There is a big difference.

Anyone on a Passport, running the official IS is likely to have the same issue.

You mean when it's pausing to access your account you cant type anymore? I could've sworn I was able to. Have to try again but please confirm that is what you mean first

What I mean is, when it is pausing, I can't dial any options.
See, I have to either dial a 1 for check in, or dial 2 for check out, then I need to enter the ticket number.

At first, I was putting the 1 or the two as part of the automated number but then I had to create the thing twice.
So, I would only put in the phone number and the ticket number and just manually insert the prompts on the call.

Now, while I am waiting to insert the ticket, the dial pad option is grayed out.

    Ruined call app in 10.3!-img_20141020_114430_edit.png

This is what I get. Notice the green button prompts me to dial the extension, which I have set as the 7 digit ticket number.

But the dial pad is grayed out. Before I dial the ticket number I need to dial a 1 or a 2 and occasionally a 3 or 5.
I don't want to write a script for every single option when I could just dial the prompt manually before.

By the way, Z10STL100-3/10.3.0.1052 is what I am running.

I am not sure what difference that makes. Perhaps 10.3.1 will fix this.

    Agreed
Pretty stupid to remove the feature if you ask me.
Also can't hang up a call without skipping all the waits..
I even have numbers saved like *123w1w1w2w2w3, so it takes like 15 seconds to skip all the waits to hang up or use the dialpad..

Vincent, no I mean once you actually dial that number. I am not sure what it's like on the Passport but on the z10 it won't let you dial any prompts when you have an extension set up.

The reason it's a pain for me is that I need to use each set up twice at least, with different prompts but the same ticket number.

    I hope they fix that.

I can still access the dial pad during the wait on my Passport running 10.3.0.1418... it seems entirely possible that Vincent is correct.

I'm running Z10STL100-3/10.3.1.800 and the dial pad is grayed out..
I can't imagine that it would be any different on the passport (Unless you can dial using the physical keypad )

While it is going through the extensions ie"w4" it is blocked out and shows this:

Edit: this is the photo after

When it goes through all the "w4" things you can dial normally.

Yeah, thatched the issue. I need to dial before that point.
Specifically, I need to tell the automated system if I am logging in or out.

I guess you will have to make a contact with 2 phone numbers.

Include one with the 1 and another with the 2. You don't need 2 contacts, just add them both into one.

Yes, that's what I did today, though it's not a contact, it's a calendar entry. These only get used one day.

Oh, and I think I need to go back to not using auto correct.
