Not for the base system, android is different. What did you need to do?

Interpretation of root is also, by definition. Which is why I ask.
You can look at the location of your file from many places at the same time. Some applications can work with that file better than others. Prime example is saving a page from local:/// with private browser..not allowed in regular browser.
Im sure there is a solution for you.

The root level access of the blackberry is protected by hardware and firmware, making it especially difficult to gain access to it without, but not limited too, the private keys, which are undisclosed (and will remain undisclosed, AFAICT) by Blackberry.

So to go back to your question, it's not possible *to you* (and us, too) to get access to root. Unless someone manages to crack the software and hardware protections. Good luck with that.

Also, the kind of android apps that require root access are generally accessing low level services (the Linux layer of Android), not just the so-called Android runtime. And BB10 has a different low-level interface, inherited from its QNX roots.

That's a second, more elaborate and hopefully clearer, no.

I know last feb going back and forth in the browsers I was able to get into devuser just doing that, it doesnt work anymore though. I think you can write 1 thing at a time right now with a native app.

Seems obvious to me having something like settings://password or calendar in a url, hyperlink, or spreadsheet would be dangerous.
