I have a Roku 3 and I don't see the setting to enable this anywhere. Looks like might be a pretty slow rollout. I have the latest update.

I bought a Roku streaming stick yesterday.

Miracast works great with it on my Z30. There is some lag but it is probably the best Miracast adapter I have tried.


As a bonus, the Roku app runs like native. You can stream movies and other content from your phone to the Roku.

Roku itself is pretty awesome too and better than the smart TV functions on my webos TV.

I got the Roku 3 and it works awesome. There is no set-up on the Roku... your phone will find it.

What os are you guys on on your phones? I was trying from my q10 and it couldn't find my Roku 3. I did see the option in my Roku settings and it was enabled.

I have Roku 3. My passport sees the Roku on the wifi, but when I connect, can't get it to work.

Do I need to load a Roku app for it to see my PP?

Holy crap! Just tried it on my passport and it worked beautifully! No apps required. Just went to settings -display click on share screen and selected my roku.

Mind blown!!

closest I could get is dowloading the android Roku app from Snap.

When I open the app on my PP, I can easily share pics or music from my phone out to my Roku box and use my phone as a remote control.

Still haven't figured out how to play videos or screen share wirelessly.

Will keep tinkering.

For videos and photos you have to use a roku app called: roku media player.

Then select what you want : video, music, pic, etc

It will try to connect to you BlackBerry, if it does not find it. You have to update permissions on the BlackBerry, go to media sharing on settings. Make sure you select the ip address of your roku.

I didn't quit fail as there is more specific information in the thread I quoted vs this one. So who really failed?! Too much banter in this one.

It's easy for someone to say "oh wow" 2 threads on the same subject when either has the same discussion theme and direction. This occurs more often than you think: nobody pays attention to the amount of traffic and bandwidth this site goes through, when it's not coming from their own $$. Sure it's nothing CB would worry about now, but it's about being considerate simple.
