Everyday I get an update notification for this version when I check the Os is says it's running 10.0.10.85. So I upgrade to 10.85 anyway it downloads and installs. Then if I check updates for the Os it says upgrade 10.85 again ...the only difference between the updates is the size it went 13mb to 12mb and then this morning it says the update is 7mb..this happening on my girls phone as well on rogers..anybody know what's going on?

Are you deleting any of the apps that came stock on the phone? If you are, then that is what's being pushed.

Just create a "Junk" folder and put the apps that you don't use in there. It'll tidy up your screen and you'll stop getting those updates pushed.

That's what's been happening to me. I would delete all those crap apps I don't want like FB, Twitter, LinkedIn etc and would get the update notification. When I updated all that stuff would be back.

Is there anyway to delete these apps permanently ??

Has anyone tried simply selecting un install from bbworld instead of delete?

I found this thread because I was having the same problem. I'll try uninstalling from App World and let you know how it goes.

I just tried this and no luck. I uninstalled 2 of the apps (not deleted). I then did a check for new software and, sure enough, a 5MB update and they're back again. I guess I'll just have to keep them in my "unused apps" folder until a better solution is found.

Yep, like the guy above me said, uninstalling from the App World doesn't work, plus I tried deleting from the App world too but that didn't work either.

No. Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are part of the Blackberry 10 OS. You can NOT delete them. They are integrated into Blackberry Hub.

As cjcampbell wrote, in some cases you can move the icons into a junk/ignore folder. That is what I have been doing on my older Blackberries for years. (However in that case, most of the "junk" apps were things imposed by my cellular carrier.)

I tried my own advice and I can confirm the update is still pending. Now I just refuse to update lol

Which is precisely what Blackberry suggests you do:

KB33872-After removing unwanted applications from the BlackBerry 10 smartphone, a software update notification is displayed

I stopped getting the push after a week or so of ignoring the update.
It's been about week since the last push came thru for me.
I deleted them each time as I simply don't want a junk folder cluttering up my stormtrooper.
