Those catchy z10 advertisements on all media platforms hooked me. You seemed like the natural successor to the three years of being with the tried and trusted Curves and boy were you good.

The way you could effortlessly register words with a flick of a thumb or blind people when you took a photo of them was only something you could do.

Your bigger, wider, fatter brother demonstrated how beautiful you would have been with a keyboard. Not only could I still flick with my thumb to bring up what you were thinking but we were able to browse the Web together without touching your face.

All in all its been a wonderful 18 months with you Zed and I've barely been 7 months with my Passport but it has been wonderful. Thanks for being there most of the time when we needed you.

The title doesn't really fit the message but I'm assuming this is coming from the idea that the soon to be released BlackBerry Android device will be the end of BlackBerry 10.

    I believe you are wrong.

    BlackBerry has already spoken.

"We remain committed to BlackBerry 10, which provides security and productivity benefits that are unmatched. And while we cant share details right now, there is more coming to the BlackBerry 10 platform after the June release of 10.3.2 and we will keep you updated.

In addition to BlackBerry 10, we continue to encourage innovation and investment in solutions across all major mobile OS platforms supported by the BES12 platform.

BlackBerry also says that their still working on updates for the PlayBook lol. Take it with a grain of salt. Lou probably just regurgitated what they've told him to say.

Incredible how ppl still "listen" to what a BlackBerry CEO said instead of remembering that only what they "do" can be trusted.

That "BlackBerry 10 is coming to the playbook" announcement from an ex-CEO should've taught us that lesson lol

The JUNE release of BB10? Well, it's, nearly October here and there's no sign of it.

One incremental update in twelve months? That's an eternity in smartphone terms. If that's not a sign of blackberry being dead, I don't know what is.

So will it be "The saga continues", or "BlackBerry OS10 Renegade", or BlackBerry OS10 Transformer that just never turns back into its former self?

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I continue to get a huge amount of utility from my Q10 long after the Android handsets / tablets I have, have become unusable stuttering messes, with multi-hundred megabyte updates for no apparent increase in utility, and interfaces that verge on the fashionably unusable.

If BB10 "dies" in the same way that Nokia's S40 has "died" I'll be happy enough for a few years yet. Not sure what other expectations people can reasonably have.

I just bought after serious thought the SE. I am waiting for it to arrive. I am not expecting it to "downgrade" to lollipop and I bought it in order to have a descent phone for the next two years.

Right now it's anyone's guess whether bb10 will survive. The signs though are not good. No road map, old android run time no one's bothering to update, and fast departing developer community. And let's face it, those we remain committed statements are just boilerplate until we see something that indicates support. Beyond a maintenance update I mean. Because right now it's looking an awful lot like PlayBook 2.0. And that's not good. For me, I'd love a new bb10 device to replace my z10. I am though not handing over cash until I see some solid signs of support. We will know more only after the slider gets released and BlackBerry start the android messaging.

Typical. You blame BlackBerry for your carrier's laziness in rolling out the update. If you want updates directly from BlackBerry, then you buy an unlocked phone. Otherwise you update it yourself or keep pouting and wait for your carrier to drag its *** and "get around to it."

I've been running 10.3.2 for some time now.

My iPad got 4 updates with bug fixes, one of which I had avoid installing because it broke the only application u have the iPad for. Otherwise I got iOS 8 last year at this time, and iOS 9 with no real changes that I have noticed yet a few days ago. So of incremental update in 12 months actually seems to be the gold standard.

Firstly, carrier's don't "roll out" updates. Instead, carriers give approval to BlackBerry to dispatch updates to devices on their network.

Secondly, my phone is unlocked. The roll-out mechanism, to the best of my knowledge, is based on the carrier of the last SIM inserted into the phone. I purchased mine from Amazon.

Yes, some PlayBook owners (including myself) will never forget. Even with this dagger, the PlayBook (my first blackberry) was so good that I came back with the passport.
