Within the Hub settings, there is an option, "Return to default View When Idle".

    What is this for, exactly?

    Why do I ask?

In the Hub, when I receive a text message, and view it, once finished, I'd like the Hub to show items from all applications like it normally does.

But, typically, if I last viewed a text message, the Hub will be in the 'Text Message' view. Does that makes sense? I'd rather it didn't do that. That's the one thing I don't like about the BlackBerry Hub. Of course, I could merely be using it wrong...

    Thanks

That's exactly what this option is for. But it doesn't do it straightaway. I think it's after 30 or 60 minutes of inactivity.

Inactivity of the Hub or the device period? I tried testing it today, but I guess I kept using my device too often

OK, I see what you're asking. I don't encounter that issue very often as I use the HUB icon most times to get into the HUB instead of just swiping in. It automatically resets the HUB to default and to the very top.

To specifically answer your question that's what the default inactivity button would do as well. But I believe the inactivity is based on the entire phone.

Try the HUB icon. It may be exactly what you're looking for.

It's under HUB / Settings / Displays and Actions. Not sure if it's in 10.3.1, but is in 10.3.2.

I don't understand the OP. When I receive and read a text, when I'm done and hit the back arrow, it reverts to all Hub view.

Using the back arrow will still not leave you at the very top of the HUB on re-entry if you were lower down in your messages when you left. His question was in regards to that.

I'd prefer it NOT do that.

There's many times I prefer it not too as well. That's why it's nice having the option if you want it.

Nah, that's a very random option to add. Better off without it.
