Libretro released a new version of Retroarch.

The accompanying blog post states that they are still working to release a Blackberry10 version. It'll happen someday, they are determined to get Retroarch on anything and everything with a processor.

No. The BB10 will be labeled bb10.

When they have a bb10 build available they will announce it. There is currently a working build you can sideload.

Likewise for Blackberry 10, time to get that port out of the door again before the platform is completely dead. A lot of mobile phone casualties of late. Seems Android and iOS are the only ones left standing at this point with even Intel exiting the mobile arms race.

Seems like there might still be hope for an official update to RetroArch on BlackBerry 10 but don't hold your breath for it. In the meantime, if you want updates then you'll have to learn how to code and compile them on your own and that includes core updates and adding new cores. Anyone interested in RetroArch on BlackBerry 10 should show that interest over on LibRetro forums since if we only speak here they may not realize that there are people out there on BlackBerry 10 who actually care.

That'd be alright. Not limited to but the straight keypads make for pretty decent inbuilt controls and hdmi out on some with a new RA could keep these little game systems going beyond use as communications tools.

Hi, not at this time as I'm quite busy. I'm also not seeing the same issues but I'm on a year old os and it has been a year since releasing the latest build here.

Perhaps attention and efforts should be directed over where the Libretro team can hear it like what CyberMan2013 says in hopes for a new version.

I've worked pretty hard on building upon this one here that I'm satisfied with as I can customize it and I'm glad others have been able to make it work for them too but I might eventually make my way over to the Libretro forums to show my interest there as well

My thanks still goes to everyone who contributed to this forum; There is so much info that got me started right here in this thread, and the teams who actually did all the coding work - coding is not something I understand all that well but as a fresh set of eyes, it can be very rewarding so I'd encourage anyone interested to get their feet wet, then go help with making RetroArch!

I built Retroarch from the latest source without Cascades. Mine looks like this:



But it's supposed to look like that:



It does run the games natively but the menu almost never goes away so it's unplayable, unless you like playing ghost games as the touch controls also work but the menu covers them too. You can just hear it working lol.
