Hey guys. So I just upgraded to .2072 on my Q10. I was coming from .1154. My question is this:

If I backed my phone up on .1154 and upgraded to .2072, will things clash if I restore my settings from .1154 (because those are the most up to date settings I had, on that OS version). BBLink said you are restoring from a file that may be an older version...which makes sense. Just want to know if that causes issues/slows the phone down.

Anyone had any problems regarding this?

Thanks a lot in advance! Love my Q10. Want to keep it updated.

It might. Going from an older branch to a newer one MAY cause issues.
You can try it, but the best thing to avoid errors is probably to not restore settings. A pain, I know.

I did this a couple of times, after installing destructive leaks. So far, I had no problems (Q5 from 10.2. to 10.3, and Passport from factory OS to latest leak).
But I remember others reported on problems, and some recommend not to do this. I will always do it, because I will rather do another OS install when needed than to always have to reinstall all apps and redefine settings.
No worries about the message re older versions, that only refers to the fact that you will no longer have apps & settings in the very status right after the OS upgrade, but as they were before (but I think this is what you want anyway). No OS downgrade or so will happen.

I still get that keyboard lag that I had on .1154. (When you type and nothing comes up until 20 seconds have passed). This is why I actually upgraded. I guess I'll try NOT restoring my previous settings/stuff/texts and see what happens.

    Thanks all
