Is there any way to remove the carrier boot screen? Perhaps installing a leaked OS?

I just hate seeing the horrible white verizon logo every time I boot and shut down. Doing a lot of flying, so it's getting to me. If it were black (for my q10) I'd be less inclined to complain. But A white boot logo sticks out like a sore thumb.

I believe it is part of the bloatware that is installed as part of the "out of box experience". You might be able to install a leak without a SIM, and go through the start up. But you would have to avoid installing OTA updates.

Why not just use airplane mode?

I usually do, but I love playing with the BlackBerry boot screen.
