As badly as I wished to see a different combination of numbers, my Z10 has notified me that OS 10.1.0.2039 is now available for download. Verizon has fallen so far behind with updates that I don't remember what the enhancements were for this one, unless it's a standalone to prep the launch of BBM Channels?

Forgive me if this has been asked a dozen times already, and please move this where it would be most appropriate if the topic already has a thread.

Anxiously awaiting 10.2 for my Verizon Z10...dammit...

10.1.0.2151, nothing new since late July. Probably pushing out something you deleted.

I hope this isn't an omen of any sort. I became curious about which OS I'm currently on, so I went into setting to find out. It states I'm on 10.1.0.2039. Now when I run the search for updates I get a message saying the update server is unavailable at this time. Something is amiss. So long as my Z10 delivers the same functionality as it did prior to me getting the notification, then I'm good to go.

If you're receiving an update notification for the same version you currently have, this usually means you've removed a "core app", for example, LinkedIn, or Facebook. The "update" re-installs this application.

You'll most likely find the update is of a couple of MB.

Funny you should mention Facebook. Last night, for whatever reason, it began behaving strangely. Sometimes my Newsfeed would show up and other times it would not, but prompt me to "tap again". I haven't installed or deleted any apps lately, so maybe this has something to do with Facebook? Problem is I'm no longer able to access the update server to transcribe the message there. I will make a mental note that if it's a small update then it deals with a "core app" on some level. My buddy here at work has a Q10 and says his phone is showing a notification for the same OS that mine is. This is some kind of bug isn't it?

    NOW I know why I keep getting a re-install for 2039 - I deleted FB right off.

I'm not sure, but it's almost as though Verizon has given up on the Z10. There should have been some kind of update by now. Verizon has released exactly ONE (1) OFFICIAL update since the phone was released by them.....NOT GOOD

Yeah, the official Verizon Z10 OS is not even the 10.1 MR. You'll drive yourself crazy if you wait for official updates from them. I gave up waiting long ago.
