I know this is a stupid question because it probably wipes the card... but...
Do I have to format the 64gb card on the Z10 before adding music/files/etc to the card?

If I remember exactly what Kevin said, in order to have a 64Gb card working you need to format it IN the phone

I meant if I put a 64gb card with files on it, do the files get wiped in the format (which I assume they do), I would format on my computer but I can't find anyway to do that. (I'm in US so I just want to get my card managed and ready for when I get my device)

According to the article, ExFAT is the problem, need to format the card to FAT32.

Does it just pop up like a USB drive once you plug in your phone, so I can just drag and drop?

When I go to storage and access it does NOT show my 64gb card. Yes the card is in properly.

Device storage details shows 4.3 of 16gb used.

Any tips to get it to show????

No question is stupid, just the people who ask!. But this was not stupid nor is the OP. Supposedly I read somewhere we can use up to a 128 card but they don't really have those to just toss in the bag

New stupid question, for those who own one of these 64gb cards, transferring files onto my old 8gb that came with storm which I still use is painfully slow, how quick is it to transfer files on to one of these once they are formatted to fat32?

It depends on the card. If you have a Class 4 card, it will be painfully slow. If you invest in a higher quality card, like Class 10, it will be much faster. In fact, you can't record 1080P video directly onto a Class 4 card because it wouldn't be able to keep up. The phone won't let you.

Yeah I got this one Amazon.com: SanDisk Ultra 64 GB MicroSDXC Class 10 UHS-1 Memory Card with Adapter (SDSDQU-064G-AFFP-A): Electronics I just didn't know if converting to FAT32 would slow it down a lot for transfers.
