No, i have never had any sort of carrier applications installed in my mobile except for one. And, I have never even tried un installing any app for more than the past one week.

This update killed the FM radio on my blue Classic. I have tried to not let it onto my other BlackBerrys by NOT hitting restart..
--Blue Classic also will no longer work with the simcard.
-- It forced itself on my one Q10 when I forgot and restarted my phone. While it was restarting I kept the radio antenna plugged in, and went to the radio and turned it on as soon as possible. I think I forced a shutdown first before it could finish setting up.

Then my radio worked and there would be a flash warning box that there was a radio error or something. After a number of weeks later, the simcard tray could no longer be seen by this phone, but the radio kept working.

I feel certain it is ATnT thing to get rid of the FM radios. This is because these weird things are the only problems I have had with any of my BB10s.

When a forced download update occurs, you do not have to let it install, if it is not a carrier branded phone.

That's what happened with me, anyway!

If I am wrong and anyone got this update without losing their FM, please advise.

I've got an AT&T now unlocked Classic SQC100-2 in Au. I auto loaded to the latest OS (2848).

I know that I've found somewhere (?) on my device the fact that I've got radio access if I use headphones with an aerial.

So, is that what you're saying that AT&T is now trying to block access to, the ability to use aerial headphones and tune into radio stations - even if one is not on AT&T?

(Pardon if I've not interpreted properly .... )

I must say, I never had any issues after the update. My device has been solid from day one with 10.3.X. No complaints so far, it was just a curiosity as to what the update is being pushed out for.
