    I know why they did it....... and the reason is to simply match the android spinner in the android runtime. Even though it's boring I kind of like the consistency.

    I didn't know a progress spinner could effect people so emotionally.

    With all due respect to everyone, the fact that they even introduced a different "spinner" in the first place was a complete waste of valuable development time and resources. They easily could have put the week of work (believe me, it took at least that much all together) into something more important. Just shows that there's still no head moving around the body. Someone came up with the idea to change the spinner and nobody else at BlackBerry had the balls to tell him that it was a complete waste and an unnecessary change. RIM is still alive and kicking....

    started off a green circle.
    then the spinning boxes
    then the one in the current leak

    I'm sure it hasn't been changed for the last time either. they are trying different ones and getting opinions its honestly not that big of a deal really. and as far as the development time. I'm sure its something simple as changing the animated image that was probably already predesigned during the os building stage. I honestly doubt that they only come up with 1 type of animation for the loading icon when building it. I could be completely wrong. but honestly I like that they keep changing it up. Keeps the os having that fresh feeling when they introduce different ideas.
