This past weekend saw sudden, rapid battery drain on BB Classic which auto-downloaded OS 10.3.3.1435 a couple of weeks ago.

What is the suggested fix for this?

Hold power button down until phone starts to reboot. Then leave it alone for 15 minutes.

Not working. Do you mean power it off and let sit for 15 minutes?

No. I meant just what I wrote. Reboot and then wait.

If that doesn't work, you will have to reload your OS.

If you pull up Device Monitor what does it say is using the most battery?

My classic is showing the battery spoit bb-10 error, but there isn't actually any problem with the battery as i get good 4 hours of SOT on my classic and good standby time as well. Added to this, this update makes it restart of all a sudden by itself every 2 - 2.5 hours.

I've got the same problem. Battery lasts 3-4 h, CPU is running at 50 %, most of the battery power is consumed by "System".
Additionally, about 600 MB of traffic is produced per day since I did the update.

Battery depletes entirely within 15 minutes. When attached to charger, it rapidly shows "charged". Am trying the fix suggested by Conite suggested above.

Would reloading the OS wipe my phone entirely? I ask because the BB Link is unable to back up the phone entirely. If it requires wiping, I'm going to pick up an unlocked Priv

    It will be erased, yes.

Use Ultimate Backup first if you wish.

I've always avoided Link even when it used to "work".

I re-performed the procedure suggested above by Conite and then allowed the phone to charge for an hour. I disconnected the phone an hour ago and the battery went from 100 percent to 74 percent after one hour, which is a great improvement although not exhibiting normal performance.

Out of juice an hour later. Ordered an unlocked Priv off Amazon.

Possible you had a bad battery... that said moving on from BB10 isn't a bad thing at this point.
