Based on the Android push I am sure bb10 is on its way out. Was hoping to get the dtex since that is the case but waiting for price drop or the win :-). Fingers crossed.

BlackBerry has been pushing out BB10 for awhile now. If you go to their website. Where it says "Secure Smartphones", all you see are BlackBerry Android devices. Sorry to say, my friend but prepare yourself to feel like the "OS7 Loyals" cause that's where us "BB10 Militants" are headed down that ugly road. BB10 is about to walk the plank.

    BB10 over ANY Android device.

As with BB, granted more of late, the update will come when it comes. However, best to wait until all the bugs, and I am certain there will be many given few resources, are known. Then decide to update.

However, with all the focus on Blandroid, I think it is a safe assumption that both BB10 and handsets are done. It is plausible to believe that handsets only survive as an effective proving ground for Blandroid. If the software is successful, it would not be too much of a stretch to see BB selling its versions to other manufacturers/brands. . . .. Once that happens handsets are clearly done.

1 year ago I would have disagreed wholeheartedly, but after witnessing firsthand the lack of hitting self imposed deadlines and inaction for the OS, there's no doubt in my mind that BB10 is officially dead.

Congrats to chairman Chen and co on maintaining BBRY's reputation and track record - I can see the drive to software is really paying off.

By the way I believe the next handset should be called the BBRY Lemon, with the subsequent two phones being the Albatross and the Titanic.

Of course you could take the view that BB10 is so secure that it doesn't require any updates

I wish BB made more realistic promises, ones they are certain to fulfill.

Even with all the complaints for BlackBerry to communicate more, they're better off /not/ announcing anything until it's ready. Limited resources and changes in priority make it an inevitability that things will be late.

Of course, maybe the few/one remaining developer wants to put in some easter eggs (dark Hub) while there's a delay anyway?

Blame EWA Canada for the delay. They are the ones doing the NIAP certification.

Obviously a minor point-release is a tough obstacle for a software company.

The certification is obviously taking longer then they anticipated. It's not going to add anything anyway. The whole point of 10.3.3 is the certification.

According to Mark Sohm on the BB Dev Blog regarding 10.3.3, it will include a Browser Update and fixes to the android runtime.

10.3.3 includes fixes in the Android Runtime, but API level and support remains the same. There have also been fixes made to the BlackBerry Browser.

The issue with WhatsApp in this beta release was a problem on our (BlackBerry) side, which we have fixed. No changes were required to the WhatsApp application.

If the update got delayed is fine. But let us know! Being IGNORED by BlackBerry tells me how LITTLE they care for Customers that have been loyal for many years? 10.3.3 isn't bringing many software changes; but more importantly it brings us Reassurance. Reassurance that BlackBerry gives a damn.

The link was from May, and unless you are a developer or very experienced, loading the developer OS is a terrible idea.

True. They seem to be all aboard the android train now and it shows by the lack of BB10 update.
