One great feature BlackBerry has is the quick respond on reject calls. When a call comes in, I'm in a meeting, and reject the call. A pop up asks for the predefined message I want to send them. I send my custom "in a meeting" message, and go on about my day.

However, the system sends the message as a BBM message if the user has a BlackBerry ID. The problem is, a lot of people that have BBM do not always have it loaded, especially for iOS and Android. How can I force the reply to always send SMS only?

I always thought it would just send an SMS to the number that called. I have rarely used this feature but have never had it send a BBM.

As far as I can tell, if a contact has a BBM PIN, it will auto default to send there. I can delete the BBM ID, and it sends as a SMS, but would prefer to not have to re-ask from people's IDs each time.
