    Sirs,

I've received my new Q10 today. I've upgraded from T-Mobile UK to 4GEE.

My network selection thingy is set to
    4G & 3G & 2G

but so far it has only been on 3G and H+

To anyone else in the UK, does full 4G appear as 4G or as LTE (or as something else)?

Is there any kind of extra setting I need to enable to allow LTE?

Finally, before anyone asks, I am of course in a geographical location at which EE claim of offer an excellent 4G signal (the city of Leeds, UK).

Thank you Rich. Does it appear as 4G all the time? I guess, if it doesn't go to 4G anytime soon, that I have an issue? Will give it a couple of days.

I have however paid an extra 5 a month for the 4G plan, and I work from home.....

I get 4G in Rochester Kent, although I don't get it 100% of the time, will drop down to H+ as I move around the area.

Thanks all. I plan to go into the CBD tomorrow, as that (surely?) will have the best signal possible?

Hi James, I'm also in Leeds with a Z10, but I'm waiting for O2 to upgrade to 4G. Leeds should be one of the first places to get 4G on O2. I guess that you should ask EE why you can't get 4G on your Q10.

Only a few cities are on 4G. I am in Devon and no luck there yet. To get the new 10.1 update I had to put a Vodafone SIM as EE is very slow on the uptake. I think Internet bundles are superior but 4g will take time.

Hi Jamie. On EE's coverage checker, this shows as a 4G area.

Is there any way on the phone to select 4G only?

I'm from the UK and have a Z10 through an EE contract. I live in South London (Croydon) and get 4G pretty much every time I'm outdoors and sometimes indoors, I know my own home has pretty good signal and I get 4G at home.

Other times when I'm indoors elsewhere, I usually get H+ or 3G. I got very bad signal at work (Crystal Palace) where it drops straight down to G, but I don't think that's to do with the area but the structure of the building, because as soon as I step outside I'm it goes up to 3G, thrn H+ then 4G within about 5 seconds.

You can select to 4G & 3G but not 4G only. The only recommendation I can make is doing a search for the network manually. Have you tried this and if so what does it display?

You can remove your postcode now BTW.

    Thanks,

Okay, so yesterday at lunchtime, EE agreed there was a problem, and said they would send me another phone out. Yesterday teatime, i was outdoors at the park, and noticed that my phone had suddenly decided to go onto 4G mode.

I an only assume it was some kind of network settings issue.

Possibly, it's great that it's resolved now anyways. Lets just hope EE aren't too far away with this update for 10.1.
