If I was able to connect my Z10 up to BES through my company via BYOD. (Currently using a seperate BB curve for BES which is falling apart in my hands), would the data accessed on the BES partition of the device go through the companies data plan or come out of my personal data plan.

I am not sure how that all works and was going to contact IT and see if they support z10 yet but wanted to make sure I knew what I was asking and the repercussions of BYOD.

The quick answer is, when you are away from WiFi, it comes out of your data plan. When your phone is transferring data between the device and the carrier cell tower, there is only one connection. In this case, the connection you pay for. The company data is encapsulated in a virtual pipe to the BES server but, that virtual pipe uses your data plan to reach your company.

I see, cheers for the clarification.

So for those of you which have this set up, do you have an agreement with your workplace to subsidize your bill?
