Let's say i'm watching a yt video in the browser, and i swipe up to show my active frames, the video plays on, sounds as well, but it 'pauses' the video, So is the only thing 'active' about the frames that the pictures refresh every couple of seconds?

The browser doesn't have an active frame to display, it just minimizes.

Same goes for playing back a video though.

Basically what i'm trying to find out is why it's called 'active frames'.

Any apps can utilize the Active Frames code and have an active frame, but not all do. The browser is one of these that don't, regardless of what it's doing when minimized. Doesn't make sense to me either, but there it is.
