    Hello there.

So I set up Gmail acc - IMAP one. I disabled PUSH feature and interval is set as MANUAL.

Despite all this, phone is still connecting from time to time to check if there is any new e-mail.

When I log in to Gmail on pc I get this account activity: (example):

    IMAP (bbimap)
    device: Q10
    name: bbimap
    os: BlackBerry 10
    os-version: 10.1.0.1720
    vendor: RIM

Why phone is connecting despite what I set up?

When I set up POP3, phone IS NOT connecting, but then when new mail arrives, it's list them as NEW, despite the fact I read them few hours ago.

Second question. Can i disable, delete, uninstall BBM? I do not use it, never will but still it's making some sort of connections every now and then.

I want to maximize battery life - that's way if someone ask. ; - )

    Kind regards people.

Should keep your device set to accept push, it'll actually be a less drain on your battery.

As for BBM, no there is no way to get rid of it.

If you want to maximize battery life, use a dark wallpaper, turn down brightness, turn sync intervals to 24hrs, not manual, as manual checks everytime you go into the hub by yourself.

This one has been fixed with this firmware:

    10.1.0.4687 - leaked one.

    Tested and works.

    Thank you Blackberry.
