Hey there,

Last week, I installed Facebook Messenger by Cello Apps directly from BlackBerry World. At the time of the expiration of the app`s trial, I had two unread notifications. For the last week, I've been trying and trying to get these two notifications to go away. (http://i.imgur.com/qscSUnK.png) I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. The Facebook Messenger tab in the hub has disappeared (even when I reinstall the app), and these two unread messages don't show up in the general hub tab; the only time I see the two 'ghost' notifications is on my lockscreen and when I swipe up from the bottom of the screen for the hub preview (such as in the linked image).

I can't find any contact info for Cello Apps, otherwise I'd approach them directly. I'd really like to avoid basically paying 4$ for the privilege of fully uninstalling an app I wish I hadn't installed in the first place, but I'm worried that short of this, I won't be able to ever get rid of these ghosts.

Any help would be, of course, super appreciated. Thanks in advance.

hi,

did you already try to uninstall the app and performing a hard/cold reset afterwards? Had once such issue (not this app) and made a double reset (resetting the second time after the "BlackBerry" logo and at startup of the circle). After that the notification was gone.

Did you try the pinch for unread messages motion?

Holding both volume buttons to do a hard reset has done wonders for ghost notifications for me, specifically voice mails. Maybe it will help you as well.
