Problems restoring backup after downgrade

Did any of you come across this? I encountered some difficulties earlier on when trying to restore a backup after I've downgraded from. 2339 to .556/. 858 (autoloader)

Link refused to restore my contacts, settings and calendar, it said it is incompatible with this (older) OS version. Duh. It did the rest though.

So I just tried via Sachesi, to restore this part of the backup done with Link. And it worked! It just did it, and all is there!

Hope I didn't create an unstable system now, forcing the backup which Link blocked off? I will report if so...

going backwards with a restore usually produces this error. you can't restore with an older OS.

I always thought that's with regards to 10.3.2 to 10.3.1..but as said, it worked via Sachesi.
So far the restore is without bugs, all calendar entries and contacts are there.
There are a few posts about the same problem. They should give this work-around a try.
