So i've had this problem a few times that my camera didn't work while trying to take a pic inside BBM.
it crashed somehow

Possible fix (fixed it for me,without restart):
1. Open BBM in the Blackberry hub

2. Open the camera in BBM

3. Swipe 5 times from top right corner to the left bottom (blackberry hub restart)

Normally i had to restart my device but somehow this fixed it for me
Hopefully this fixes the problem for more people

Which camera bar file are you using? From which OS?
I have the 1256 camera and I have never seen these issues. Wondering if reloading a different camera bar would work for you? I have had all the leaks too... currently on 2947.

Running Blackberry 10.2.1.2156 now
Happens once a month or so since i got my blackberry. (already have mine a year)
Just noticed this fixed the camera app and thought i do share it :P
