And the only way Chen will destroy the company is if he keeps throwing more money at the fire that is bb10

    Where is the poll???

FYI.... BB10 was destroying the company, Chen is just trying to salvage "something" in the form of BlackBerry hardware. Android may, or may not be the solution. But after three years it's pretty clear that BB10 was not a viable product. You and many here find it very acceptable, but that doesn't translate to PROFITS for BlackBerry.

Not interested, I originally came to BlackBerry for the BB10 software and I'll leave when I finish with BB10.

Maybe I will be getting a Passport. BB10 is a great Os, with zero or failed marketing, due to incompetence of BlackBerry management.

I will be using my Classic until it no longer is able to perform what I need to do. I plan on buying a spare in the event of an emergency. Once I have a need to purchase a new phone, I will not buy another Blackberry without BB10. In that event I'll be looking at a Windows,or Ubuntu phone or perhaps Sailfish.

The handset division is a walking zombie, 500.000 Priv won't save the company and Chen is destroying BlackBerry with random decisions like the one to EOL the Built for BlackBerry program...

The bbry stock are going down and going Android will only accelerate the selling of hardware division as the stockholders want it ASAP. They only need to demonstrate they can sell more phones with Android because they already KNOW that 5 millions devices are an impossible goal.

Priv supporters don't realize that soon BlackBerry will be split in two and the only value of the company is BlackBerry10 and not Google's Android!!!!

As for the rest, if there will be a day when I will go Android then I will buy a Samsung with full optional, with assistence from the OEM and support from the Company, never ever a BlackBerry no more!!

Lack of sales is destroying the company, Chen is just trying to salvage what he can.

If they really put an end to BlackBerry 10 I'll go with BlackBerry Android. But I'll hold on to my passport as long as possible if they don't launch any new BlackBerry 10 devices in the future

I'd like to stick with BlackBerry as long as they keep making good mobile phones. I love the passport and hope to have it for another year. Hopefully by then the android devices will really well polished and a great replacement.

I'll keep using my blue classic until it dies and then I'll find a new phone, these days we have a lot of choices. So don't care if they stop making new bb10 phones whatsoever. It's just a phone no big deal

Absolutely not. Blackberry as an android OEM Is useless to me. Even if I wanted an android phone blackberry is never to be trusted. They could and likely will leave all the Priv owners updatelss and unable to root their devices. Nothing respectable about what they are doing and it is NOT progressive. There is nothing innovative left from blackberry.

Is running the company into the ground progressive? Cause that's what gonna happen if they don't at least try with Android and keep sailing the titanic, aka bb10

I had 2 bolds, a curve, z10, and currently a z30. Had been heavily contemplating the passport, big decision was weather to go for the original or silver. However, I am now not so sure. Am sure the z30 will keep me going for most of this year and then will reassess. If another good quality bb10 phone is released this year then it will be a no-brainer. If not then I will seek an alternative, I am fan of BB10 OS not the brand. Priv is an Android phone in my eyes, I will consider it but based on how it compares to other Android phones at the time of purchase, will also consider a windows phone.

I don't get why BB10 is being blamed for poor device sales. Most people don't even know what it is. It's being used as a scapegoat instead of blaming Blackerry's complete lack of marketing. I dare you to go on whatever social media you use and create a poll to ask people why they didn't consider a blackbberry. I got over 200 answers and the vast majority had no idea blackberry still made phones after the scroll wheel devices. Only a handful knew of BB10 and 1 knew it had ART.
It doesn't matter what OS it's running, blackberry has to do its job to make it sell. The Priv is like when every damn cheapo product used the name "XP" when windows XP came out. Or when the "i" named products came out after the iphone. It's pathetic.

Just so happened I was heading out when I heard a noise outside and saw that someone drove by and left their BlackBerry by the side of the road.

I handled it as you'll see here. Yes, there was a little wimpering and crying. But I truly believe that THIS is what needs to be done to the company.

Next contract renewal in 6 months and I will get the Priv too expensive to buy outright like I did with the Z30.
