Basic info:
I have a: Z10 STL100-3
I'm running: 10.2.0.1767
I'm using a windows 8.1 x64 bit system, on an Asus Zenbook UX31A
I've got XBMC 12.2 Frodo set up.


I'm trying to stream media from my Z10 to my PC and XBMC via the "play on" feature; for the life of me, I can't get it to work.
Has anyone had any luck with this?
I can get the XRMT app to work, but I'd like to manage everything directly through the OS, using the "Play On" feature.

I don't know if it's a problem with the leaked OS, or with my setup, but I've tried messing around with it, and it just won't show up as a streaming option. However, if I go into: Settings > Media Sharing > Devices: XBMC and my PC both show up (and I've selected them as an option), but, when I attempt to use the "Play On" feature, XBMC isn't listed in the menu.
Any help would be great.

First thing that comes to my mind is your firewall on your PC. Double check to make sure the proper exclusions are enabled. If required.

XBMC is given full clearance through my firewall at the moment. I'm attempting to do this on a personal network, with no internet access. Only my PC and my phone are connected to it.

I restarted the phone, and I managed to get it to work, but only for two songs before it stopped working. I guess I'm wondering if there's a problem with BlackBerry's software that prevents the communication, or if it's on the PC side (possibly even the network). If anyone else has had a similar experience, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I use it for videos and pictures with xbmc on an atv2 without any problems, but i haven't tried streaming music. I can't check the version info right now, but it's 12.1 or 12.2.
Also not using a leak, but the official 10.2.0 from Bell.

I'm guessing it's an issue with the leak. Once AT&T releases 10.2 (assuming it actually happens), hopefully it will be fixed. Thanks!

Did it work for you on10.1?
I'm starting to wonder if I've actually used it since my 10.2 update.... but it definitely was working fine for me a couple weeks ago. will try to remember to test it this evening to make sure one is still working.

It works, just not as smoothly as I would like-- there's a huge delay before XBMC starts playing each file. I guess using the phone as a remote is a more reliable option at the moment
I was hoping it would work more along the lines of a set of wireless speakers, much like bluetooth.
