    I'm not sure if there would be a point to doing so, since an android-based app store wouldn't be able to access the correct parts of the file system for installing/updating apps.

    Well back in the day when the Playbook was rooted there was a method, albeit very difficult, to get it working. I hope as the Z10 becomes more popular around the world we see more interest in things like this.

    Goodereader has the amazon store. If you install it and sign in it allows some programs to execute that would otherwise fail to run.
