So I just updated and I'm trying to set the pic password option, but it keeps turning itself off. The screen just dims, like it's working in the background, but then the on/off toggle goes back to off automatically.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Try disabling then re-enabling your typed password then try setting the picture password again, this may help it recognize that it's been set and allow you to set up the picture password.

Do you have corporate email? Typically exchange or something. Sometimes these accounts enforce a security policy that only allows device password and no other locking mechanisms. I just deleted my corporate account and consequently can now use picture password.

While its a nice feature, I use the quick password option. Its four numbers, easier to remember and quick.

I do have an Exchange account so will have to look into that further.. but I have noticed that I can go into the Device Password settings and Picture Password will be listed, but if I go out and back in, it has disappeared. I try to set it, but there is no Save option (or Done) the picture password doesn't stick.

I actually have the exact same problem.

I have a personal z10 but I do have a work email attached to it. I'll have to test it to see if I remove my work email to see if it works. If thats the only way to keep it on then I just might forgo it. The picture password is neat but not essential.

For me i just had to turn on the device password and exit settings, then come back and enable picture password. It works fine now.

I loaded 10.3.1.2072 today onto my Z10 STL100-4 and ran into the same issue. I would try to turn it on, it asked for my password, dimmed for a bit, the it switched to off again... I just simply turned off the password and closed settings. Then went back into settings, set a password and turned on picture password and it went through the set up without issue.
