Try a security wipe. In case you didn't know, picture pass doesn't work if you have an exchange account on there.

    Huh?

I have 2 exchange accounts with picture password working.

I think mecca created a thread about how to do clean os install with less hugs. Try it.
    It might do some good.

Why would I want less hugs?

Are you running enterprise sever? I think someone mentioned that it can be restricted from IT policies.

I bet picture and simple passwords will not work if your active sync device policy requires a device password.

Doesn't matter if it's bes or not. As long as your IT has a password policy, it will not acknowledge the picture password.

To only prove that, reload the autoloader and don't set up any accounts. go straight to the device password and see if its there.

Yeah I mentioned that when I first uploaded the leak on the first day. I tried various methods and sequence of setup to get it to work. No dice. Decided to download an android email client to handle my work emails. Just so the account is separate from the actual phone.

Simple password works since it's a known method of unlocking. Picture password is new so when it gets to the ms exchange server, it can't acknowledge the input because it is unfamiliar with the lock method.

Yeah I encountered that problem too. If you have loaded your exchange account once then delete it, the phone can still detect the IT policy. So the picture password will not work still.

You'll have to do a security wipe to get rid of it since the policy kinda gets baked into the OS. No need to run the autoloader.

I tried the picture password twice and had a hard time unblock my phone...
I was on the 7th attempt and when I could unlock my device successfully, I quickly turned it off!!
Will not use it until it becomes better... for now it seems that its implementation is experimental.

How did you arrive to the 7th attempt? Thought you get only 5 Attempts before it asks for device password.

You can't. My guess is the IT side doesn't acknowledge that type of password input since it's new.

You'll have to use a separate email client if you wish to have your work email and picture password to coexist.
