Android Runtime is better, but there is no point to run Android apps on BB10 through emulated environment and with no access to Google Services. I find UI of 10.2 smoother, richer and with much better attention to details compared to 10.3. Keyboard on latest 1154 leak is definitely improved too, but it's still not as good as on 10.2. Camera is almost unusable for me on 10.3. I take docs pictures and convert them to text with OCR. With 10.3 I need to take all the pictures multiple times in order to get a good shot. 10.3 is not mature enough yet.

    Question :

Does 10.3.1 include the feature where on new message the phone lights up like iOS.

The LED is handy but for me it would be more useful to have the lock screen light up briefly

Not yet. Waiting to see the official 10.3.1 release. Then will decide what to do. Most likely not going to wait for 10.4 in 2016 and a Z10 replacement in 2018. It all depends on BlackBerry's performance from now on. Right?

I agree the same values. And I certainly don't like android. I only have it on my z10 because there are no alternatives

I was just on a few Flash sites. They all worked well except for one.... Further more, this shouldn't be a defining deterrent. You have computers when all else fails. Upgrade OP... you'll love it!
When all else fails, you can easily install Photon Browser, Firefox, Dolphin Browser or any other which supports Flash or the Adobe Flash Plugin which is still available.

Why is there no point to run Android Apps? Do you use a BB10 device? Most Android Apps, I've tried from both Snap and the Amazon App Store. Work perfectly on my Z10 with 10.3.1. The improvement in compatibility is very noticeable over 10.2.1. For example, in 10.3.0 I was able to install Microsoft Office Mobile but I couldn't sign in, but in 10.3.1 everything works perfectly. I don't think most Android apps use Google services. None of the Android apps available on Amazon App store use Google services as far as I know. So to say it's pointless is a bit of an exaggeration. In addition to that the Android environment is not really emulated as far as I understand. It's not like one type of CPU is attempting to emulate another type of CPU using software. The underlying hardware on BB10 phones is the same as on Most Android Phones. Maybe some function calls and other stuff might have to be patched on the fly in order to use BB10 versions of them and stuff but I don't think the performance overhead is any where near that of a traditional emulator which emulates one CPU using another. The app performance speaks for itself.

Yeah it actually does, go to settings, notifications, scroll down to lock screen and turn the option on.

Because if your primary goal is to run Android apps, then you should go for Android device! It will run Android apps much better, that's for sure. Yes, I use a BB10 device and try to keep Android apps at minimum. Currently have 3 only - Google Maps, Google Translate and Music Folder Player. BB10 device runs best with BB10 native apps.

Incorrect. Sorry but thanks for letting me use my device exactly like you intended! In the real world that is not how it works. I run a number of android apps that run perfectly, 100%, flawlessly, (choose the term you wish) on my Z10. BB10 contains software to allow users to run .apk files. It is NOT perfect but for me the .apk player has gotten better and faster with each release. If you do not wish to use it then don't. The .apk player is not the android OS. I am very happy to access to software written for the .apk player. I do not have the time to write code; I will happily run someone else's!

All I know is that similar hardware SGS3 runs it's native Android apps far better and faster than any BlackBerry. Tested, fact. If you're OK with entry-level performance only and bunch of limitations on BB10 Android Runtime, that's fine.

As I said I am fine with it. Some examples; Merriam Webster dictionary finds words in a split second. Kindle flips pages in a split second. Classic Words runs faster than I can respond. Do they run even faster on a high end android? I really don't care.

My virtual keyboard lag / innacuracy could just be that in 10.3+ we have to swipe over the suggestions and not the letters which I was doing before.

Anyway, It's good to know that the apps are compatible. I've manged to install the browser from 10.3.0 into a 10.3.1 OS but Flash didn't work even though it appears in settings.

In some cases it's close to impossible to do. When I start typing an email address, for example, the suggestions are so tiny, that even few attempts to flick them up are unsuccessful. I can live with the flat UI and with some lag here and there... but this keyboard issue on 10.3.x and the slow camera autofocus is a deal breaker for now. 2 of the main functions are still broken, even on the latest 10.3.1.1154 leak.
