How can the 10.3.1 be better when it's not able to view all websites?

10.2.2 all the way! Nice battery life and better signal reception

Only in case you like the Passport and you're going to keep it for a while. I'm waiting to see what next all-touch BlackBerry device will look like. If it's based again on mid-range dual-core SoC, then I have no choice but to go back to Android. I'm not paying $500-600 price for an old hardware with updated external appearance only.

It is true. ANY site still using Adobe Flash won't work on 10.3.1.x OS. Bad news is that it's not guaranteed to work on 10.2.x/10.3.0.x either just because the built-in mobile Flash Player was never updated since 2012. Adobe Flash is already a dead technology.

10.2.1 was the most stable release. 10.3.1 for me has a serious lag in the Hub. When I open some emails I can barely scroll it almost feels like the Hub is an android port that is unresponsive to my gestures.

I really hope this is because the release I installed is an unstable one and it's not the signs of things to come.

Also I backed up my z10 after I installed the leak and I have a few accounts which come as notifications in my hub saying they're missing.

Bus For London and Twittly are some examples. However I already have these applications reinstalled and they both have their own tab in the Hub it's like I can't remove the caching or whatever from the old accounts.

Feature-wise it's far better. Stability-wise, more or less the same. At least the latest leak of 10.3.1 is. Hopefully they'll work out the bugs more.

    Question :

Does 10.3.1 include the feature where on new message the phone lights up like iOS.

The LED is handy but for me it would be more useful to have the lock screen light up briefly

I have seen that. Never really noticed it as something new. Think you can stop it though if phone is on silent and you gotta be discreet.

I was just on a few Flash sites. They all worked well except for one.... Further more, this shouldn't be a defining deterrent. You have computers when all else fails. Upgrade OP... you'll love it!

OS is way far better than 10.2. But android runtime is still weird for me. App loading time is improved but performance still sucks.
Does not find any change in terms of battery backup.

Playing with 10.3 -10.3.1.1154 since September has been fun. Personally using this and recently going back to my stock 10.2.1.3442. I use an unlocked Z10 Stl100-3 on T-Mobile. Although 10.3 - 10.3.1.1154 are amazing updates with vast improvements and features, but keep in mind that these leaked OS's are designed for the Passport and are not official BlackBerry releases thus being leaks. That will explain the stutter or lag in OS performance. The passport can handle these leaks at a stock performance and the OS is designed to utilize the hardware resources the passport has to offer. This will also show when you look at the memory usage and resource drain in these leaks. It was fun, but the pros and cons shown me that loosing some key functionality was not worth holding out for in my day to day usage. I am listing these as a general overall usage and not model specific unless specified

    Pros of 10.3+:
    1)Assistant
    2)Android Runtime updates
    3)Radio signals
    4)Hub updates
    5)Home screen
    6)Blend(10.3.1.1154)
    7)Camera updates

    Cons of 10.3 +:
1)Designed for Passport ( this affects all non Passport user's )
    2)No Wifi Calling ( T-Mobile users )
3)Missing BBM voice / video call button
4)Battery can be inconsistent from leak to leak (Z10 users)
5)OS occasionally stutters or lags ( again non Passport users )
6)Assistant runs slow/ delayed/ or unresponsive from time to time
    7) Bluetooth and Headphone stuttering when the screen times out or is shut off while listening to music
    8) Memory leakage causing overheating especially when viewing video content or recording

Moot points that are null and aren't affective enough to be considered a pro nor con:

1)Performance ( it spikes occasionally, and again was designed for the Passport Hardware )
2)Battery ( This really hurts the Z10 users more than others)
3)Dark Hub ( it's just a theme not a functionality to make or break)
4)Android Apps ( these side loaded or apk installed apps run in requiring more resources causing the devices battery to drain quicker)
    5) No optimization for older os10 devices yet ( everything before the Passport )

February is around the corner. Patience is a virtue. When BlackBerry does finally update all phones then the optimization, performance, and battery will be phenomenal.

After using these leaks for 3 1/2 months my verdict is.... Though it is fun to play with it is not a daily driver ready for prime time. Also some of these points might not effect you at all. Thanks for reading CB fam.

When your phone is docked at your desk it would be nice to know who it actually is rather than an anonymous red blink.

As handy as the real time notifications.

Then again ... I should let BlackBerry work on fixing the bug for *deactivating* the screen when on a call before asking if they can *activate* it when receiving messages.

Knowing that flash was removed in 10.3.1, I upgraded from 10.2.2 to 10.3.0.14** last night and so far the improvement is amazing on my Z10.

I highly recommend this as the best feature-complete upgrade to 10.2.

There are minor issues that can be overlooked. My Link backup restored properly and it's working excellently.

10.3.0.1418 (official Passport OS) runs very good on Z10 (better than 10.3.1.1154 leak), but has one deal breaking issue - virtual keyboard doesn't work properly. Try to type something quickly and you'll see what the issue is. Also, camera has slow and inaccurate autofocus, like in all 10.3.x versions.

Lol! That's the "minor" issue I was referring to. I noticed it right away and thought I could adapt but I'm relieved to have some confirmation.

The virtual keyboard feels like it has some lag when swiping up for word completion. If this is the issue you are referring to, I hope one more update will tweak it. I'm willing to live with this considering how stable and improved everything feels.

The only negative, borderline unbearable, issue across the entirety of BB10 OS revisions is the conservative input response. From screen rotation to camera shutter, even boot time, it just seems as if the software has been coded deliberately slower than it should.

Knowing that the OS is built on QNX, "the" hard real time, embedded, micro-kernel OS, makes this facepalm + smh worthy sometimes.

All in all, though, this 10.3.0 version has been a breath of freshness. Too bad BlackBerry didn't officially release it.

The one major improvement I have noticed is how good the voice recognition is. If I was more verbally articulate I could use it to replace my keyboard. This paragraph was dictated fairly accurately.

The screen turns on when someone messages you and you will know who it is when you tick "Turn on screen for New Notifications". You better check it out.
