So... How long until the 10 times resets? I'm at 8, and just can't remember my password! Lol

By all means, try again two more times!

Or maybe... Think hard and give it a good while before you try again. Forgotten stuff have a way to come to us when we stop thinking about them.

    Best of luck!

10 times and it resets anything in password keeper. Or so I've read. Will I get another 10 times in 24 hours?

Guilty of the same thing. Luckily I keep a hard copy of my password in a safe place. A whole day of re-entering data but makes life easier in the long run.

Hope you remember. It's a painful loss.

Once you hit 10 it will wipe your phone, think long and hard, the advice about walking away for a bit is a good way to go

Password Keeper will reset. The phone as a whole will not be wiped, as long as we are not talking about failed attempts at the phone's password.

Crap. So even if I stay at 8 times, and don't try anymore for another 24 hours, it will stay at 8 tries?

So in other words, you get 10 consecutive tries, regardless of how long you space it out? Like if you tried once a day, every day for 10 days, on the 10th it'd reset?

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on who's got the device, that's how it is.

If you have cloud sync turned on you might be able to get them back, providing you remember your BBID password. If you have backed up your device, you can recover to that point at least.

Just a suggestion for down the road, export your password file and keep it in a safe place. If you encrypt it obviously you'll need the password, but you can also save an unencrypted version. That way if password keeper is wiped, you can reinstall from the file.

Luckily I don't think I kept anything in there that I already didn't save anywhere else. But looks like I'll never know for sure. It's been a few days and still says 8 attempts. Guess I'll do two more and let it erase.

I turned off cloud sync. I was tired of waiting several minutes for it to sync at the most inopportune time.
