Sounds like hub problem. Did you do any OS upgrades?

Yes they have. Microsoft emailed a few weeks ago to say that server settings were changing and provided instructions on how to fix - that said - I haven't noticed anything on my end. Have the message saved, though.
I believe they've changed from the old m.hotmail.com to s.outlook.com as the latter is required for connection now on my end for EAS

Well, I deleted and re-added the accounts and now it works just fine. I probably should have just done that before bothering ya'll about it haha. But, now I know! Thanks for your help.

Hi,
i'm have the same problem. Can't download any attachments. I used a hotmail account which changed to Outlook.
so far I have done the following
1)security wiped the phone and re-installed only my contacts
2)deleted email account and setup under outlook
It works for 1 day and then I get a msg (unable to download attachment) then I have to delete email account and re-setup again.
i'm using the BB classic with latest software
Please help
Assuming you're using exchange activesync, are you using s.outlook.com as your server?

I'm experiencing the same issue. I've just changed server settings to s.outlook.com and let's see if my problems will be fixed. My major one is contacts synch from phone to server.

The other threads discussing this have found that the problem returns after a few days. No long term solution yet.
