I just started getting an error on my Z10 today. Getting error code 403.

Same outlook account is still working on my S9 and Fire HD8 tablet (both using the Hub+ Inbox), and my PC with no changes.

    I don't use 2FA.

This happened back around last February. Deleting and recreating the account didn't work. I had to reload the OS, then it worked again.

    Until today.

Tried a reboot first. Looking at my account online, and it says the last sync was this morning.

Reboot didn't work. Deleting and re-addding the account didn't work either.

I really don't want to reload the OS. Now that I have to deal with fixing BBW too.

Anyone else getting this? Last time, it seemed random. Not everyone, and not the same devices.

Just checked on my Z30. I managed to send and receive an email through the Hub.

Mine still works as before, but there's another thread about the problem, where at least someone seemed to have it fixed:

BBW still works after a security wipe, just not if you run an autoloader.

I guess it was a false alarm, because it's working this morning now.

New morning emails were there when I checked, plus the ones it missed during the day yesterday.

At least I don't have to use the nuclear option. A wipe might be worse. I haven't done a security wipe in years, and the last one took 4 hours. And that was before people started reporting wipes taking up to several days and still not finishing.

Had same problem with my Classic but also on my new Amazon HD8 tablet. But only my oldest Outlook account. Changed password and things reset. So not sure what deal was. Age of account somehow?

Do you use 2 factor authentication for your hotmail account? I do. There's an option in the settings on your hotmail account where you can create a one-time password for devices that don't support 2 factor authentication. I used that password it generated and have not had any problems with emails ever since. I am using a BB Classic.

Ran into the same issue with my Passport and them Amazon Fire tablet. Used the procedure you describe for the two factor authentication and setring the unique app password. That has seemed to fix them both. Its an update in security I'm sure...but did the trick.

The first thing I would try is purposely typing in a wrong password and having it fail authentication. After the failure, then type in the correct password and see if that works.
