Seems it may be it only needed to update SW version to 2141 and Radio to 2142.
So only a minor update for your carrier.

I am not so sure, has anyone done a comparison on previous Z10 release vs this one?
I did it for Z30 and there is a whole bunch of files, including android, notifications, remember, etc..

I wish I have time to do one for Z10 .1925 vs .2102 but I am about to leave.

Seems to be a lot of differences at times between OS for Q10 and Z10.
On Verizon in US and used the Sachesi to get 2102 from Vodaphone UK.
    All is grand.

Anyone on Rodgers seeing this update OTA yet?

I answered my own question by using Sachesi and checking Rogers manually. No change as of yet.

got a Z10 thru vodafone UK, did the update with Blackberry Link and guess what. it all went great till it had to restart. Nothing but a black screen. i can hear the phone getting emails, but no matter what i do, i cant bypass the black / blank screen. tried a hard reboot (taking the battery in and out, considering that i can't see anything on the screen). The phone seems to reboot itself and yet still a black screen. plugged the HDMI cable to my TV and the phone works.... just not the screen.... any ideas? has anyone encountered the same problem?
PS: tried the factory settings reset and it just doesnt work... and cant even restore a backup cause for that i need a screen and keyboard to sign in with my Blackberry ID

thanks lengend and bla1ze for providing the autoloaders... I had a failed attempt using sachesi, but will give it another try. If I still failed, i'll move with the autoloader.

I downloaded all the 154 files from Vodafone UK, and sideloaded everything to my Z30 STA100-2 using Sachesi. The update was uneventful, but the phone is now showing the following:

    OTA update 10.2.1.2102-img_130953.png

I had been using the official 10.2.1.537 before this latest update. I also updated to 10.2.1.537 using the same method but from a different carrier.

    Any ideas?

The "Software Release" version is not taken directly from the core OS, but is a result of some kind of interaction with your carrier.

The Software Release is basically a number that corresponds to a particular bundle of OS, radio and apps.

When you first install this update, it might display the old Software Release number for a while. Assuming you have an active account and are connected with the carrier and have a SIM card installed, it will eventually ping the carrier's system and it will assign a new Software Release number.

This is exactly what happened on my device. Within about a half hour of installing the update, it had updated that number from 10.2.1.537 to 10.2.1.2102.

Right now, I am unable to sideload only the radio bar file. As was my experience before, it has to be an autoloader.

Connect your Z10 to the PC with the USB cable, download the autoloader from here:-

    http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...phones-905407/

once downloaded, unzip/decompress it and double click the .exe file.

There was no change after over 5 hours. I created and installed an autoloader only of the 2142 radio file (thanks to thurask's instructions in the other thread). After restarting, surprise, surprise! The Software Release and Radio Version numbers have become 2102 and 2142, respectively.

[UPDATE: I see you re-loaded the radio file and got the number to appear. The following is more for other people's benefit now.]

Thanks for the info. My carrier has not updated to 10.2.1.2102, yet; but I will observe first.

Neither has mine. To clarify: I am not precisely certain about how this process of obtaining the Software Release number works, but I do know that it has to do with a communication with either one or both of your carrier or Blackberry's servers.

Neither is it important, either. Typically leaks have no Software Release version number at all (It will just say "Information Unavailable" or something like that), it has no practical effect on anything. Only OS builds that have been made "official release" by some carrier will ever get that number.

I assume your idea also relates to the radio version number?

No, the radio code is explicit in the file you load. That will always show the version of the file you loaded onto your device, just like the OS version. With one exception:

The only time you will not see that is if something failed in the update. In such a case, the device has a fallback mechanism where it will revert to the previous OS and purge the files that were loaded. (In fact, when you upgrade an OS, you are actually are only writing to "temporary storage" during the update. Only after the device has restarted several times successfully with the new OS, will the device move those files to "permanent storage". This is how it reverts to the previous OS if the upgrade fails.)

That's a lot of hassle to change one number.
