You don't need to restore anything if you upgrade non-destructively with Sachesi. But again, it's all personal preference with which method you use. If something goes bad with Sachesi you'll end up having to use an auto-loader anyway.

Create a custom backup using BlackBerry Link first, then do the upgrade via sachesi. If something goes wrong, use the autoloader and then restore

Note: I say create a custom backup, because the problem with restoring app data is that system application and BlackBerry runtime break things sometimes - you can only exclude these from your restore if your backup was created as a custom backup.

Just updated to this via sachesi and loving it. Don't know why I never updated to 10.3 and missed all the fun... This update seems full proof. Instagram crashed couple of times before starting but other than everything is smooth. Just download sachesi and install it. Nothing to worry about. Wifi, blue tooth, calling, mobile Internet and everything else working just fine. Battery life is yet to be known but is definitely on par with earlier os. Thanks sachesi and everyone who put hours of work for guys like to me to enjoy the incredible OS

Before on 1154 telegram give notification but no sound.
Upgraded to 1418 telegram does give sound notification when open, but when close, it gives no notification like before :-(

quick info: for STL1, the 4 DXTG (docs to go) files do not load on sachesi, otherwise all seems in good order. The same issue was there for older 10.3 versions.

In my experience, "sys.dxtg" errors only shows up on Sachesi 1.2.1. Use 1.9.4 to extract the bars and it should install flawlesly.

I noticed this too. No core OS bar was in the debrick bar for the Passport. Or at least sachesi doesn't extract it.


I changed the debrick bar to .zip, took out the. Signed file, extracted apps from that .signed file using Sachesi (into a folder). Then added the Core OS.bar and radio.bar files to that folder. Removed the docs2go bar (dxtg or something) from the folder because it gave me an error. Then installed the folder using Sachesi.

Sachesi probably doesn't extract the 'factory_sfi-10.3.0.xxx-nto+armle-v7+signed' core OS file inside the debrick OS, but it's there. The debrick bar acts like core OS when installed in its entirety. What I did was:


1. Download DEBRICK and RADIO
2. Extract apps from DEBRICK
3. Drag and drop DEBRICK and RADIO to Sachesi's INSTALL tab
4. Upon successful installation, drag and drop extracted apps to Sachesi's INSTALL tab

I cannot really speak for it since I haven't done this before, but I don't think you can "downgrade" nondestructively. For that, you need an autoloader.

For me, I came back from 10.3.1.632 to this one just because I was having a little weird SD card issue.
But I miss all the new features of 632 especially the "watermarks", so I will be going back to 632 in a few days.

As explained before, you "search" for passport 302/720 because it's intended to.
Then Sachesi will offer to "download" for another device and make the cooking for you.
YET, this OS is officially meant to be used on passport and must be considered as a "tweak" for any other device.

I have a Z30 STL 100-6 and I am running this leak BUT the phone does not notify me when I get a call from a number that is not in the Phonebook. I did a sachesi install from the 1154 version which still used to give me the same issue. Do you think using an autoloader will help me.

Thurask has a thread with all the radios. Find it and download the one appropriate for your device and see if it works. If not, reload the radio from this os which he also has on his thread.

Then come back here and let everyone know what result was/is.

Hey, anyone else running this on the STL-4 z10 noticing issues with the assistant? I can tab the app open, but if I hit the listen button it pops up for half a second, then reads 'couldn't understand the voice request' or some such and drops back to the assistant main page. :/

Nice, just loaded it on my Verizon Z10 (STL-4) using Sachesi. It was non-destructive, kept ALL my data and stuff there. Working great! Love it, just make sure to do a couple resets after the upgrade and all settles down. FYI - For those of you wondering; I did NOT use the Debrick, Core OS, or Radio files. Just went directly through Sachesi. Took about 6hrs tho.

Now my z10 stl-100-1 ROCKS!!
Seems to be a fully functional tested and improved.
Previously I made a backup of my contacts in my SD card with "Contact Manager", the best of the contact managers I've tried.

"Max Contact Manager" by Max Secure Software, and
"Contact Manager Backup and Restore" by X-Reve.

The first 2 listed are $2, the 3rd one is $3.

How long have you had the OS loaded? It will take a little time before settling down after loading. I'm know it depends on individual user, but so far I'm quite pleased with battery life on this build.
