Just wait yo, give it a week.
10.2 just came out.
On top of that, devs aren't very motivated to use the headless api as ShaoSoft made an article explaining why.
Probably coming with 10.3, soon
Shaosoft is an exception. If you read the comments in his article, a lot of other devs who hang out here criticized him for making his opinions look like fact. If you don't believe me, go to the battery guru thread, peter has already been approved for headless app functionality. And he's not the only one. The first 50 approvals have been handed out already. And I'm pretty sure there's more to come. BlackBerry just needs some time to go through all the apps submitted while trying to save their company at the same time.

Noted.
So... 50 approved and we can't hear of 1!?

First off, when the article went live NO apps had been approved for long run headless. Secondly BB has now stated long run headless apps will not be available until 10.2.1
*10.2.1 releases the next day*
Uh Yea, headless apps will now be in 10.3 guys.
First headless app is now available at BB World. Aerize chalks up another BlackBerry first, with the release of the first ever headless app for BlackBerry 10; Aerize Lockpic enables separate home and lock screen images, with headless app support now fully in the background. Previously, BlackBerry 10 apps could only simulate background processing as active frames, if the app closed, background processing stopped. True background processing was the number one most requested feature for Aerize Lockpic.

FYI:
Requires BB 10.2, not 10.2.1 or 10.3
Aerize Lockpic does employ long running headless support.
So now i need something for my LED and i am happy thx aerize!
FlipShush is also headless now.

Flipshush says it must stay running in activeframe.

The description on BlackBerry World hasn't been updated. I just downloaded it to see. The option is there, and it asks for the permission when you first start the application, though you need the premium version to use it.

Well so much for what shao said about 10.2.1. Lol

We'd been told this explicitly, so don't laugh at him (or me) for believing this to be the case. We're rather puzzled at the moment why on the one hand they've said bluntly that long-running apps will not be approved prior to 10.2.1, and now already there are apps being released which clearly have the long-running capability.
Well at least they're consistent.
Presented by Dr. Emmett Brown on BlackBerry Z41
And in case anyone reading this didn't already hear, they have now pulled those previously approved long-running headless apps and marked them in BBWorld as requiring 10.2.1, as they had originally said they would. I guess if someone has a 10.2.1 leak installed, they can still run them, but those of us with 10.2.0.x cannot.
The reason given was apparently that some of the 10.2.0 builds that are in the wild do not properly implement the long-running headless capability, so those apps would not have worked.
Generally they have little choice in such cases but to err on the side of delaying (so to speak) since otherwise the support burden on developers and BlackBerry is onerous, with large numbers of users complaining to one or both parties (not to mention here) that the feature is broken and can't BlackBerry do anything right and ... you get the picture.
