10.3.3.3057 and Passport SE anyone ?

Hello .. my Passport SE is running 10.3.2.2836 .. And it's really slow at times .. compared to the Passport of my gf (running 10.3.3.x).

Her Passport is not an SE model

I was wondering if someone here can confirm he's running 10.3.3.3057 successfully on Passport SE .. Cause upgrading seems to go with some risks ..

Just completed the 10.3.3.3057 upgrade from 10.3.2.2836 and it's fairly simple. After backing up phone files to Laptop via network drives established on the laptop (BB Link is worthless), I downloaded the autoloader to WIn8.1 laptop, unzipped the file with Winzip, attached the usb cable to phone and laptop which recognized the connection immediately, and I then started the unzipped .exe /Application file from the download.... After estimated 10 minutes of phone rom/bios being updated and system files loaded, I'm instructed to unplug and setup the Passport....NO PROBLEMS - now the Passport SE is silky smooth as ever. Yes, there are security enhancements affecting the browser, certificates, and other. Be sure to turn off the 'Phishing control' in the browser to improve website access. Payment setup in Blackberry world still not working, but Paypal is fine. Android runtime still not flawless, but works well, and needs Play Services for several Android apps. Overall, the installation of 3057 is straightforward. Ensure there are no interruptions with internet and power. As many have already opined, the Passport SE is an amazing, premium quality device in every way. Having used the KeyOne for 6 months, dealt with the ads in Android apps, I can say it's a solid phone....but in no way is Android better, smoother, or as empowering as BBOS10. We just needed the BlackBerry/RIM marketing pros to to do a better job, and for the company to bring products to the consumer and market faster.....and I believe the company would still be strong.

Just interested to know why you didn't update to 10.3.3.3216 which is the latest and includes the very important KRACK Wi-Fi vulnerability fix?

It also includes some changes to the Web kit too apparently.

Unless you have a carrier-locked device in Canada, you won't get the update.

I think you need a PC rather than a Mac, I'm sure someone will correct me if that's not the case.

You need to download the correct autoloader for your phone, un zip it, connect the phone to the PC and run the .exe file.

You must also back your data up as it will completely wipe the device!

There's a bug in 3216 which messes up the parental controls, so if you enable the parental controls to lets say disable BBM and/or the Amazon apps for good. You'll end up being unable to unlock your phone after it locks, the only solution to this was to keep it unlocked at all times or disable the (picture) password before enabling the parental controls so you're able to unlock it afterwards. Nor will you be able to disable the parental controls again once you've enabled it when running on 3216. The only way to resolve that issue for me was to revert back to 3057.
