Update worked but I still cannot get Showbox to keep running like I can on my Z30 that has not been updated. It is still broken as far as I am concerned.

I wonder now if this update will actually be PUSHED by BBW for people on OS2876.

Most people out there have the problem and don't even know it.

Agree redrum I am with you 100 bro, can you see if the the official update blocked the ability to rollback as Cobalts rollback may very well be the best solution for some who rely on kodi and showbox at least until 10.3.3+ I issued!

    You can't prevent rollback.

I will check by letting the update go on and rolling back if it screws me. My guess, still the buggy Run time for now!

Good to know this, can never be to sure with BlackBerry as remember the 10.2 to 10.3 prevented rollback of the whole OS? Didn't it?...

Official fix via BBWorld runs like a rock.
Just download and install and initialize and restart your BB mobile.
That will take some time. You can really remove all the android apps you've ever wanted to remove via the Cobalt - mobile network-1.0

I'm curious if there are issues or advantages with the BBW Runtime update since I'm running OS .2813 and the working Runtime. I would prefer staying with .2813.

On 2876 this new runtime has lowered cpu use of the device and certainly doesn't have the location services and Bluetooth constantly pegging the CPU along with the runtime.

I think this was more than a file delete fix. Good!

I am doing the same until sure it was more then a file delete fix but by size of it doesn't seem so and apps works great on 13 were not working on. 78 buggy However nice to know it is there, thank you blackberry!!

How does Runtime have any effect on Location Services and Bluetooth? I would think there is something else in the OS that would, not Runtime.

Yeah, but that was an OS making changes to the device NVRAM writing in a block list so people couldn't circumvent the BBID on a stolen device - per California law (initially).

(Prior to 10.3.1, if your phone was stolen, someone could load up an autoloader of any earlier OS, skip the BBID log in, and create a brand new one. Phone now acts as if it never belonged to anyone else. Now, if the phone has a BBID attached to it, you have to input the correct BBID even if you autoload a new 10.3.1 or .2 OS, or it won't finish the setup. And the phone won't load an older OS that allowed the BBID skip.)

These are just support files that have nothing to do with device security.

    Sys.android.shell is 10.3.2.348. It's 81kB, I don't have a file called sys.android.

I tried the rollback runtime with the two .bar and Viber stopped working, there were mix ups as well of messages in Skype, so there were problems. the update from Blackberry world definitely is safer to use now! I switched on the autoupdate feature, let the 2836 installs with the bogus android runtime, then applied the new one from bbw, works perfectly well now!

Smart thinking in letting it update first as the update still is the buggy files for now. However I an having the opposite effect as in the newer runtime files as in the bbw official fix will not run kodi but the conite rollback fix will indeed run it all. Somebody else had same issue like me but with showbox which I do not use so can not say for sure. I will give the update a go later and can always do the roll back, I hope! Did it seen to just patch that?...
