Has anyone heard if BB10 will update to Android 6.0? My banking app no longer works, Android 6.0 Marshmallow is required.

Not going to happen. You may have to check out the browser and create a shortcut to your desktop OR get a new device android or iOS of some sort if you absolutely need that app. Sorry!

Are you sure that marshmallow is required? Not that many devices even have that installed. Do you have Cobalt's apps installed for google play services? Give that a try if you have not already.

ok I have installed the mobile network app, did the move to SD/delete thing, not showing on device, however when I went into the amazon app store the apps still showed on the device tab, clicked on the open tab and they opened up and ran, I reinstalled the android runtime files and now the apps still show as installed on the device tab in the amazon app store, when I click the open tab nothing happens
there was only one app that was removed from the app store as that had an update, I clicked the update tab and said app disappeared, not sure what is going on at this point

    If it's not 6.0 I don't know what else it could be; I'm running 10.3.2.2836. I have Cobalt's latest. Here's a screen shot from Cobalt's Play Store.

    It requires Kitkat. (Android 4.4).

    So it won't work.

I guess the app requires something greater than Android 4.3 which is the runtime in BB10. So sad to say that there is nothing you can do. I am sure that it does NOT require 6.0 but in any case, you are out of luck. Thanks for showing me the app though. All I can recommend is to see what the web browser sign-in screen looks like on your device and whether or not you can live with that. This is the future of BB10. We will see more and more of this happening, so if you are an app guy/gal you might want to get a different device.

The Web login works, there are just more features with the app. Thanks for your help.

Nope. That's something that can't be worked around.

I've complained before about bad battery runtime in another thread. I'd like to share my further observations here cause it might be android runtime related.
Quick repetition: I have bt and location turned off always. Still both show up al the time in device monitor. But the newly observed pattern: there's always the android runtime using cpu at the same time, i.e. even if all other processes are idle, once either bt or location service uses cpu android runtime also always does!
Here a few pictures, I hope some of you guys will manage to confirm this.
Later today I might sideload the older runtime cause this really annoys me.

Can anyone confirm that 'android' apps in BlackBerry world do not correctly uninstall with the 2876 update, and that BlackBerry world cannot correctly reinstall them once removed? Just wondering if anyone actually tried it.

Those numbers look good to me. Normal for any OS.

Actually there is. Find an older version of the app (APK). If you can find one that you trust.

This is why you should always save the last working version of an apk file until you verify that the latest update works. You can always go back down a version (assuming you're not on 2876 or you've done the work around here that is).

The problem is I can't update my app to the current version because it appears my current OS is no longer supported. I still have a the working APK loaded but when I try to log in I get the error message I post in my first message. Looks like the bank just stopped supporting the older version of the app

Yes looks like you may be right. Unless they are blocking BB10?

Nah, I don't think it is direct action against BB10; it worked fine until this morning. I tried to download the updated APK from Mobile One so I could patch it but it but I would get a "parse error"

Not so sure about that. The message is talking about the device OS, not the version of Android and/or app version. BlackBerry may run Android apps but that does not mean it is perceived to be an Android device by the host computer.
