The most that I 've got was 6hrs with browsing CB10 app last Sunday...
Was on wifi all day...
Autoloaded from 1016, customs restore without BBRuntime since 14/11/14...
Sideload sysmon 10.3.1.12 because this sysmon build ****
The best battery life to me for daily drive was the 1418...
& maybe 10.3.1 was never meant for STL...

My apologies if this has been asked before, I have read the entire thread over several days and don't remember seeing it. I have been working stupid hours though so I could be brain dead. But I digress... :-)

When I was walking to the metro last night I got a call on my phone while I was listening to Pandora (android app) with BlackBerry earphones. I only know I got a call because the music stopped apparently randomly. When I took out my ear phones I could hear my phone ringing from the device only.

While I have been running 10.3.1.1016 and now this build for a little while, I do seem to recall in 10.2.1 I would hear the phone ringing through my head phones.

Anyone else notice their phone isn't running through their headphones?

Almost forgot - non-destructive upgrade from 10.2.1 --> 10.3.1. 1016 --> 10.3.1.1151.

Device: STL100-4 (Verizon Z10)
Previous OS: 10.3.1.1016
Install Method: Sachesi 2.0RC "non-destructive"
Issue: BBM and Clock apps would not work.
Observed Fix: Did an autoloader install. Checked that BBM worked. Did a full restore from backup. BBM and Clock apps continue to work.
Issue: Settings won't open in the Contacts app. Took a very long time for the Contacts app to become responsive after opening it.
Observed Fix: None yet. Working normally now.
Issue: (MAJOR): Unable to save new contacts.
Observed Fix: None.

Finding: The wifi settings now have Wireless Protected Setup (WPS) option when connecting to a new network.
Finding: Concerning the swipe to unlock; if you have no apps open, a single swipe will only bring you to the lock screen. If you have apps open, a single swipe will bring you back to the active frames or foreground app. if you do a slow to moderate swipe, it will open up to the lock screen; doesn't matter if you stop half screen or go all the way. If you do a quick flick, it will open all the way; again, doesn't matter if you go halfway or all the way. I repeated these procedures probably 10 times in a row. So I am 100% confident that is the secret sauce.

It is, but Cloud Sync doesn't seem to work. PK says it is "unable to connect to BlackBerry ID". I do remember it working in 1016.

Not a huge deal since I export the db anyway, just not as convenient.

Non Destructive load

Just tried to replicate the scenario and yes I cannot hear my ringtone through my headset! The music goes mute and the phone speakers blast me ringtone.

I have turned them on, and I even made a profile and had it active. Yet I don't get any notifications and I have used the search button didn't see anyone has the exact same issue I have. I'm not getting any notifications period!. P.S You really didn't need to be that blunt in your reply when I was only asking a simple question. Thanks for your help!!!

Did you complete initial setup? Some STL100-1 models do not see it right after autoload (if that's how you loaded the OS). In my case, I started to get notifications after I could finish initial setup (start browser, go to oobe:// in the address, finish inital setup, in my case battery pull. Some others do hard reset).

Cloud Sync worked but it wasn't accurate.

What I mean is it went through the sync process but I had made changes on my device before syncing and those changes were "undone" by the sync.

And backing it up to Drop Box didn't save changes either. How I know this is I made 3 changes in PK on my Z30, exported to folder on drop box.

Then I opened PK on my Q10 and selected to import that file on drop box. It imported but the changes I had made were not there.

Edited to say backup on SD card was a good and accurate backup.

So not sure why but I'm guessing encryption to Cloud has a bug?

My battery life is terrible. I used to leave work around 5:30PM with around 50% battery remaining. Now, I get to 50% by noon, and have to charge the phone by 4.

It's been bad on the 10.3.1.X builds. Z10 AT&T

I know that some say the battery on this build is great - I don't get it.

Previous 10.3.1 builds were lasting quite a bit longer for me on my Q10, not sure why but this build is noticeably more thirsty. Been using task killer to kill off some background apps, but still very noticeable battery drainage since going to 1151 OS.

I use a wired headset all the time, and I do not recall any BB10 OS ringing through to them...always device speaker.

Most Bluetooth headsets provide for an "in-ear" ringtone, but in my experience wired sets do not.
