i had the same problem after a non destructive update. I eventually did a destructive one and restored from backup, it solved the issue.

"BBM Video" notification not new.

Have that on my Z30STA100-5/10.2.1.3442 ... oddly enough that notification controls *BBM audio calls ringer* (via wifi). Took a while to figure out which notification used for BBM audio calls...

Mine works fine (WiFi and mobile). As a matter of fact, I use it exclusively because I find the BlackBerry File Manager very slow when accessing Dropbox.

To the other there people who responded BlackBerry Assistant was launching apps correctly, you did not indicate if it wasn't working in 1016 or not.

The fact that it is still an issue for at least one person who was having issues in 1016, and I saw someone else say their calendar reminders still aren't generating audio, I am not in a hurry to deploy this update. :-)

I'm not sure what those that are having problems are doing, but I'm thinking some are not admitting to missing a step, or doing the "blitz" install completely incorrect.

When installing a Blitz package, the Blitz file should remain in a zip format. Do not unzip it

If you did unzip the Blitz package and then drug the file folder into Sachesi, Sachesi will still install, but improperly. What you did was the equivalence of a side load. Necessary files that needed to be over written were left untouched. You didn't notice, your device rebooted, and now you have apps that force close.

The proper way to install a Blitz file is to:

Create your own - it's extremely easy. You don't run the risk of installing something from an unknown and unreliable source, you can shrink it specifically to your device, and you know exactly what is in the file.

If you're too lazy to make your own file, or too anxious to learn how to make one, use an autoloader. I'm not taking a jab at anyone's level of comprehension. I'm observing the fact that, some are afraid to do something simple on their own, but overly trusting of an unknown source...makes no sense.

When using Sachesi, or any BB tool make sure you know exactly how to use it!! For example, let's say the Blitz file you're using is from a trusted source, you fire up Sachesi because your anxiety is driving you to install what "everyone else" has, you notice that instead of 300+ files being installed Sachesi is only installing 98 files....wait for it....

Did you check the box in the upper right hand corner, that says "Allow Downgrades"?

10.3.0 and 10.3.1 files are of course two different series OS, which would make 10.3.1 files "appear" to be of a "higher" version, but that's just not the case. a 10.3.0.56 contacts file is a higher version than a 10.3.1.45 contacts file. Make sure you check that box please

Expecting an anwser because you're in a panic from a mistake you made, is not what these Find and Fix threads are about. Many of the questions you need answers for, have already been answered in numerous How To threads and stickies. Take your time, when tinkering with your precious device. If you're honest with yourself and admit that you have absolutely no idea how to do something, PM, BBM, ask in group, or Channel someone "hey, can you explain to me, in simpler terms, exactly what a "Blitz" file is? I need help". I promise you, if I ask a handful of commentors here, to explain to me exactly what's in a Blitz file, or why it's even called Blitz, many would not respond. Not that I'm attempting to point out that anyone is dumb. I'm pointing out that getting the gist isn't enough to help you when you're in trouble.

I noticed a brief vibrate upon hanging up the phone. I like that.

Assistant also works well, very much unlike 1016. Open CB10 in German can be achieved using 'CB zehn oeffnen'.

Battery drain seems to have worsened a bit. I did notice on 1016 however that battery life had greatly improved after a few days. Maybe I'll see the same with the OS.

Swipe to wake does lead to the lock screen first. This I find useful too in order to get a quick overview. Hitting the power button instead will open the previously used screen.

Impression overall is more stable and mature.

Assistant is now really badass...almost anything your throw at it, it responds to accurately and timely even if you ask it to load Web addresses.

Clock and BBM is working. I opened the clock today which I didn't in 1016 as I don't really need it. But is the clock face new?


Also I looked at the timer and I don't recall having a stopwatch face to it in previous builds.




So far pretty stable. Hopefully, final build to come soon so that I can get everyone else on board with BlackBerry as well as their OS's.

i have serious issues with my WIFI, it connects but its dead slow...dunno why it works perfectly with my work WP device and PC. Worked flawlessly with 1016

A lot of people have serious issues it seems with contacts.

However, no matter how hard I try, I have never had an issue from the beginning.

I use Gmail for all of my contacts (I do not use local or sim contacts - ever), along with bbm, linkedin, and facebook contacts.

Non destructive upgrade on my Passport.

After initial boot loads of flickering but a hard reset seems to have resolved that.

I didn't load the the sys.fuse-1.1.0.17 update and Blend is working fine after I restarted my PC (couldn't connect until I did the PC restart, was saying I needed to sign into my Blackberry ID).

Clock and BBM working fine.

USB working as I had used it before (connect USB stick and all good). I tried connecting my Garmin Edge 800 (after seeing the post from billybobsa above) - my Garmin knew it was connected but the Passport didn't see it.

Thanks to those who made this leak available and also thanks to all for making this a really useful and constructive thread.

Blend works for me with the latest sys.fuse-1.1.0.17, initially did not install it with the apps, I used the older version from 10.3.1.1016 and then update appeared on BlackBerry world. I updated blend on my passport to 1.0.1.74 and tried with my macbook it works!
