A brief tutorial on searching:

At the top of each page within a thread you will find, just under the page selectors, some buttons one of which is "Search Thread". Use it.

Subject: Unable to Connect to PC (or Mac) with Link over USB

I don't have that issue but had a thought for those who might.

If you have gone through the whole setup process (so you're not being told setup is incomplete) but are still having trouble connecting to your PC with Link over USB check your USB setting ("Networks and Connections" -> "USB") and make sure you don't have "Charge Only Mode" enabled. I do not believe it is the default to have it enabled but you never know.

I ran across this yesterday because I did turn it on when I first upgraded and forgot about, but then couldn't connect to Link yesterday to do a backup. As soon as I disabled that setting it connected.

Wifi and the overall signal is really bad on the Z30. Surprised it's still so bad on 10.3.1.1000 and above.

I have the same issue .... it is absolutely so wretched that I went ahead and ordered a WiFi repeater and realized that it won't be of great help either

The are two solutions to your problem that will fix this. Either a) downgrade to 10.2.1 or b) use the CrackBerry search function.

I'm still running 10.3.0, so would someone with the latest 10.3.1 please try the following for me?

1) Run a few apps so that you have at least two or more active frames.
2) From your current app, scroll from the bottom upwards as if you're trying to exit out of the app window, but only mid-way through and without letting go of the screen, so that you're trying to "peek" at the active frames, just like you would with the Hub Peeking feature.
3) Can you actually peek and see the active frames? Or do you have to completely scroll up and out of the current app in order to see the running frames?

In the older versions (10.2) you could scroll up mid-way and peek at the active frames. This was great for checking to see which of your apps have new notifications without having to completely exit out of the current window, just like with the Hub Peeking. Ever since 10.3.0, this feature was removed. So I'm wondering if 10.3.1 brings it back.

I have a Z10 with 10.2.1 and a z10 with 10.3.1 and neither show any active frames when peeking

Probably cuz flash is missing in the latest 10.3.1 builds. To answer ur question, no u can't. I think it's been mentioned several times before. Another person not using the search function but I digress.

I don't know if this was mentioned previously, but I will say it anyway. Two items have been vastly improved with this build over the last 10.3.1 build, to-wit: 1) The time necessary to scan the memory card after a reset is way lower. 2) The time to engage wifi from the Settings menu has dropped to 5 seconds on my phone verses 12 seconds on the previous build. Way to go Blackberry!

No I don't because I went through each post and realised it's not worth a daily driver yet. I have a spare BlackBerry Z10 STL100-1 to do all the testing. No problems on Z10.

I have the exact same problem. the guy was refering to Phone notification, i have the same problem, I dont care about email. But when call comes there is no ringing happening. I have tried

!) custom profile
2) over ride profile settings with sound on for phone app
3) tried stock and custom ring tones.
4) completed entire tutorial/setup app
5) typed oobe:// and completed initial setup.

I'm also not able to connect to blackberry link. I have renamed by bb to the name i have used to do backup

1) finished setup
2) Tutorial
3) setup Blackberry ID
4) setup accounts
5) restarted device multiple times/ battery pull / hard reset
6) tried connecting to system mutiple times , unplugging and plugging
7) renamed phone to back it was previously


Looks like this issue is UNIQUE to BB Z10 STL-1

1. Notifications have changed and by default emails are off for sound. Open notifications. Click on profile(normal) click on customize apps. Click on email. Turn on sound.
2. Open browser. Type
Oobe://
And enter.. complete setup.

Is Android runtime any better in this version? I find it horrible in all 10.3.0. and 10.3.1. OSs. Many apps just don't work. I grant that the ones which work open faster but I can't run many apps I really need. Like Medscape, mBanking apps from my banks...
So is there any improvemwnt in this or should I just revert to 10.2.1.?

1106 Tried a few hours on my q10. I found several android apps don't work. I even stuck when opening skype. Touchscreen and keyboard have no response. Had to press power button to reboot. Don't why. Only delete it in case effect phone call. Will try it in official release.

I am using Q10, after got update this version, I am soooo happy with it until I found that

My "Chinese Pin Yin" language inputmethod method is malfunction, it doesn't show any pop-up Chinese letter prediction like what I always get on 10.2

Is there any way to solve this? Can I re-install only keyboards related bar file?

Edit : Japanese input is normal, work like charm!
Edit#2 : Reboot, turn-off/on, batterry pull out - No work!

Z30 STA100-3, I did the blitz non destructive update and I am having an issue with only one contact not showing up in the hub. This is a text message issue as their emails show in the hub but the texts do not. If I search in the hub I can find the texts. Is there a setting that I set by accident to exclude him from showing in the hub? Texts from other contacts do show in the hub.
