    hey everyone,
so I noticed this thing happening to me anytime I loaded any of the OS 10.2 Leaks. For some reason when I go to my Pictures and click on Albums, I see the the albums but when I click on the ones with lots of pictures they don't show anything.

My SD card is a 64GB Class 10 and I am on OS version 10.2.0.1761. I have 4 Albums. 1 for each of my kids and I have a folder for pics of all them together. the first album has 1600 pics, 2nd has 950 pics, 3rd has 275 and last one has 125.

If I click on the 112 pics album, it shows me everything fine, i can click on pics and view them, etc.. The other 3 if I click on them they show empty. but on the albums page is shows the number of pics/videos in each folder. if i go to File Manager, I can view the pics there.

I tried 5 SD cards in there (2 64GB, 1 32Gb and 1 16GB and 1 4GB). does the same for all of them. If I revert back to OS 10.1 (I tried both official release from Telus and 10.1.0.4687).

    The SD isn't encrypted either.

Anyone else encounter this using any of the OS 10.2 leaks? is anyone else able to test this for me using their phone. Put 300 pics in a folder and see if you're able to view the pics in the albums section.

    Thanks

btw.. forgot to mention when I reverted to OS 10.1 when I first noticed this in OS 10.2, it prompted me a message along the lines of "SD card inserted was encrypted using another device. remove encryption using original device and try again".

This same SD card has never ever been inserted into another device. It was brand new out of the package and into my device.

Could it be a memory issue? Sounds like the number of pictures us what's causing the problem. Have you tried rebooting your phone to see what happens?

Sounds like an indexing problem. Try backing up your data and then reformat the card in the phone and reload your media.

Tried a reboot multiple times. Holding the power button until phone restarts, holding the Vol + and Vol - until the phone reboot. even battery pull.

    same results.

I tried re-formatting. even tried a brand new 64GB microSD class 10 that I took out of the package. Plugged the card into the phone and transferred pics to it and same results.

as mentioned, if I revert back to OS 10.1, it works fine.

I used the File Manager to do it. Open File Manager, go to MEDIA CARD.. click on Photos, click on "More" and select Add Folder. Give it a name and click ok. While in the same location, move a picture from the Camera folder to that new Folder and it'll show up in your Albums.

    hope that helps.

I'm running 10.2.0.1743, have a 64GB San Disk Ultra with several photo albums, one of them has 748 pics in it and have no problem viewing them from the album. Never had a problem on any of the 10.2 leaks.

You sir are my hero. I took the SD card out of my phone, plugged it into my Card Reader. renamed the folders that weren't showing in the Albums, put the SD Card back into the phone, powered on, waiting for "indexing files" message to go away and boom everything showed up.

    Thanks again buddy.

I use my desktop computer to create albums on my sd cards for my phones. Quicker and easiest way for me...put sd card in slot, click start>computer>sd card...right click>new folder (rename)...
