If you Optus guys don't want to wait you can always get a $2 prepaid Telstra sim but hopefully it won't be far away. Telstra were very quick, impressed

How does getting the $2 sim work?
Cos im on Vodafone.. and don't think they support BlackBerry at all

Any suggestions on what I should do? Should I wait? Or would it be impossible for me to get an update?

Sachup lets you download official updates that are whitelisted for any carrier, but all the OS updates are identical (regardless of carrier) so you may as well just download any.
Inserting a Telstra sim allows your phone to see updates that Telstra has whitelisted.

Would it work if I just took out my current sim card and tried to search for software updates over wifi??

No, then you'll get the generic update which always appears to be behind the carrier updates for Blackberry.

So the best way would be to get a Telstra sim card?

Yeah $2 prepaid sim, just put it in the phone and search for updates, wait until its download and installed then put your Voda sim back in

You'll be waiting forever otherwise on Voda and this way only costs you $2 and is easy.

So the best way would be to get a Telstra sim card?

LOVE IT! I didn't think it was going to be as big as update as this, despite reading about it.

Fixed the following bugs that I had issues with (I can't find any bugs present):

    - When I went to add a bookmark to home screen, it wouldn't add anything, this is fixed.
    - When I went to check for updates in app world, the dialogue saying 'update check complete' wouldn't appear, this is fixed.
    - When there was a post or comment on a group I am in on Facebook, it wouldn't take me to it, only the home screen, this is fixed

There are so so many other updates, here are the ones I've noticed in the 4 or 5 hours I've been using it:

Whatsapp great integration into the hub.
Hub is much improved, new icons, new options (pin, voicemail sections) and much smoother.
Predictive text is even better, bigger and the green colouring really helps (it was easy not to notice the predicted word on space bar before)
Straight away the phone feels even smoother than before, when navigating the hub it's immediately noticeable.
Lots of app updates for the 10.1 (had 8 come through after os update) including FB, Linked In, Twitter, Adobe and Whats App and all with lots of improvements.
Choosing contacts when composing an email/message is much smarter.
Highlighting text is majorly improved, very very easy to highlight exactly what you want quickly.
Share from Facebook is finally present!
BB World apps and the layout is very much improved.
Can click on a phone number to call, which works great.
I noticed apps in BB world can be opened straight from there.
Phone reboots faster (by about 15 seconds for me)

Plus all the obvious features included.

Oh last but not least, SKYPE!

It is awesome. Just loaded Skype and been talking to family in France.

I like the green highlights on the keyboard and new curcle is more accurate and responsive.

Quick question.. If I get a Telstra sim, do I have to activate it? Or just put it into the phone and it'll work?

You'll need to activate it. I'm on Telstra, but haven't received the update.
