I use BlackBerry default browser for banking everyday and it's pretty safe. Beside your bank must be having 2 or 3 way authentication

If I install Android apps on the device that are not installed via BlackBerry World, and unless I am extremely familiar with the app and it requires almost no permissions, I install antivirus tools on the device. (I use Avast and MalwareBytes)

If all you have are native apps installed, then BlackBerry is one of the best choices for that task.

Just be careful with the Android apps.

It's absolutely safe since anything you do in your BlackBerry, it goes through the BlackBerry servers where as android and ios etc goes through public servers which can be hacked by hackers

And that's a GOOD thing.

"Going through BlackBerry servers" gains you nothing anyway, when the content still has to traverse the open Internet to reach the destination webserver from there.
