    Hello everyone,

I read yesterday (I live in Italy) that, from now on, BlackBerry has started the official roll-out of the official 10.3.2 OS. Well, I know that it regards only North America but what I was thinking is: if you update your device with the official release then you can go back? Because I know that, if you install the leaked autoloader, you can't. Because now, with 10.3.1.2726 I'm going very well but I didn't have installed the new software only because the problem I've written above.
    Thank you guys

no you can't go back if you install 10.3.2 Period. Don't do it unless you don't care about going backwards.

Os blacklist still exists on official, so no you can't go back.

Ok, so installing a leak or waiting for the official release is almost the same...

So you you think it's better an autoloader or the upgrade with Sachesi? Because I've seen a lot of threads of 'blitz-non destructive' version and I don't know what they are

Blitz IS a non-destructive Sachesi update. It's just simpler for a beginner because all the files are put together for you.

Autoloader is always better, imho. But it doesn't hurt to try non-destructive first to see how it works for you.

Leak and official are almost identical. It's the carrier that make it different.

Sounds like you should be doing lots of reading but autoloaders basically wipe your BlackBerry back to new with the leaked OS and blitz only adds newer files if checkmarked. Always do a full back up just in case

Eheh, no I know the difference between them but, with all the other OS, from 10.2 to 10.3.1.xxxx, there weren't 'blitz-non destructive' OTA upgrade, so for this reason I asked what was better

I normally prefer autoloaders but I hate reconfiguring, from zero, the device. Do I have to follow specific guidelines to install 10.3.2 or I can install the autoloader like any other of precedent versions?

So basically a backup file is completely useless because, in any case, I can load it on my device. I was scared about this new leak but, if the blocklist is the same, even if I wait, I couldn't go back. I was waiting only because I thought that, with the official OS, there will be the possibility to go back but now I don't see any kind of difference so I'm a little bit confused

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but could somebody explain this OS blacklist thing? Why is it not possible to go back once you install 10.3.2?

Credimi ragazzo, Blitz con Sachesi e' il metodo piu' semplice. Excuse my terrible Italian...anyway, I just downloaded the Blitz zip file from Mega, plugged my Q10 into my Mac, and dragged the zip file into Sachesi (the Install tab) and that was that. All my info stayed on the phone, and the OS runs beautifully. In bocca al lupo!

    Yes! LOL

I'm scared only because I read a lot of posts of people who got problems during the installation (with autoloaders) so now their device are unusable. Ok, these are leaks issues but, if the problem is the installation, and it isn't possible to go back, which is the real difference with the official release?

10.3.2.680&798 are both official BlackBerry releases now. If you install correctly, you'll be happy with it.

Question: Does the version depend on the carrier? I noticed some unlocked AT&T's got one version, some other unlocked phones through other carriers got another? How would I know which version to use for Verizon? Anyone have an unlocked verizon in the U.S. that got it and can say which version does work ok?

The OS updates are carrier independent. I'm not sure why some devices are getting one, and some are getting the other. They are essentially the same anyway, so you might as well go with the latest.

I still want to bring up the subject of never going back. If you update and it fails, or if your device just doesn't "like" the update, short of going to official support and trying to fix the issue, which may take forever to never, you just have to live with it. I just don't like this idea. I know I'm in the minority here. But it's a genuine concern.

I dunno. It's OT and pointless. But it's a concern.

I would like to know if it's merely the blacklist that prevents it, or a change to the nvram that cannot be undone once done? Meaning, if my only solution after engaging support with an official release loaded OTA or via Link, and they admit they can't fix my issues, is a replacement device the only recourse? Or can they "bake" a special fix release of 10.3.1?

Sorry. Just had to ramble out loud here. Move along.
