    Well I did it!

    Non destructive update using Sachesi and the files provided on the forum.

    Extracted the apps from the Debrick file
    Put the Radio and Core OS files in the folder with the apps
    Used the Install Folder button on Sachesi and hey presto

    Let you know if I notice any differences, wish me luck!

    No noticeable changes yet.

    There were about 60 updated apps, a new OS core and radio file. All bug fixes as far as I can tell.

    Hope that helps!

    Nothing really changes. It does seem to be faster on browser loading the page. Mine comes with an issue when charging at low battery that says: if you want to speed up the charge, use the original wire(something like that, mine is in Chinese mode). But I am using the original wire. If the battery is above 10%, things are fine.

    I don't think I am qualified to give detailed instructions, but live links are here;

    http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=1128992

    The Sachesi software for updating your Blackberry is here;

    https://github.com/xsacha/Sachesi/releases

    Then the clearest instructions I found were here;

    https://www.blackberrycentral.com/ne...using-sachesi/

    Hope that helps you, I accept no liability if you lose data or damage your phone

    BlackBerry 10 OS Update is really easy.

    1. Download the two needed files, OS Debrick file (complete OS) and Radio files. Links are here, be careful to choose the right one for your phone model: OS 10.3.3.3057 Live Links https://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-l...links-1128992/
    2. Get Sachesi Version 2.0.3, unzip it into its own folder. The exe program file runs without installation. Available for download by searching with Google or other search engine.
    3. Install the BlackBerry device driver for your Windows computer, can be accomplished by installing BlackBerry Link software from BlackBerry web site (best found via Google).
    4. Turn on your phone and connect your phone to the computer. Wait for Windows to recognize the phone and map the built-in phone flash drive and any optional SD card as drive letters to your computer. Provide phone password if prompted on screen.
    5. Run the Sachesi program (Sachesi.exe), wait for it to appear on screen, it is slow. Verify that it found your phone on the "Device" tab, enter your phone password in respective box. Go to the "Install" tab, then select the button "Install Files". In the pop-up file explorer window go to the download location on your computer of your new BB 10.3.3.3057 files. Select the bigger sized one (the OS) and click 'open'.
    6. The new OS file will be transferred to your BlackBerry 10 phone. It takes a long time due to its large size. Prevent your computer screensaver from kicking in, keep moving your mouse periodically. Also, do not touch or wiggle the USB cable to the phone.
    7. After "100%" is indicated, the phone will take over with the OS installation by itself, reboot and finish OS upgrade.
    8. Allow phone to finish and arrive at a fresh and complete boot.
    9. Repeat steps 5. - 8. but this time select the new downloaded Radio file (which is separate, not included in OS).
    10. After phone has completed another reboot, close and reopen Sachesi, go to the Device tab and verify that the OS and Radio version are the desired new ones.

    Well, it is now a few weeks after my upgrade to this latest version of BB10.

    Reporting back that I have had no issues, in fact the phone actually seems more stable, but that is only based on feeling, not fact.

    For anyone else considering upgrading, I don't see why you shouldn't.

    Good luck.

    I upgraded one week and back to OS10.3.3.1435. The problem I meet, is battery drained so quick. My Classic used use 24h on 1435,( 36h on OS10.3.2) and only 10hours on 3057.

    Maybe refresh install better.

    I've not noticed battery drain issues since the upgrade, but that will vary depending on the apps you use.

    Must admit, that when deciding on apps, the priority for me has been...

    1. Native BB10 apps first
    2. Browser web site, e.g. weather website instead of weather app
    3. Amazon store android app
    4. Playstore android app

    It's the last two that tend to cause battery drain and make the device hot.

    I use GSAM battery monitor to find the offending apps and then look for an alternative.

    Hope that helps.

    Hey,

    the battery drain is because of the two amazon apps which are always on - even if you switch them off they will be back after a few minutes. The only way to solve the problem is to ban the two apps using the youth protection settings.

    Cheers, Thomas
