Anyone know what Verizon's official 10.3.1 release number is on its Z30 (those last four numbers after the 10.3.1)? I'm running a 1949 leak and I'm thinking of wiping my device via link to download the official release.

that doesn't matter if they know what you have in particular. they are still only sending out updates for Q10 and Z10 on the 20th all other phone will have to wait until next week.

I do hope Verizon does allow the update to be released. I was so pissed off when they decided not to release android 3 for the Motorola Droid X2 -- even though it was officially released from Motorola. Essentially, the phone was made obsolete just within a year of its first release....

But I'm crossing my fingers on this one....

Verizon hasn't released 10.3.1 yet, so if you reload via Link in believe you're going to get 10.2.1.2976. Please post if you get a different result.

Yep, I'm in Colorado and have 2 factory unlocked devices from ShopBlackBerry...a Z10 and a Q10. Despite what Michael Clewley with BlackBerry tweeted about the new update being pushed to these devices direct, it hasn't shown up on either of mine.

From what I have read it appears the factory unlocked Passport has received it but I have not read that any Z's or Q's have.

I have checked OTA and with BlackBerry Link the past 3 days and nothing is showing up.

My sentiments too (as alluded to already). It could be a case of the fox and the grapes too (on my part), but hardly likely.

From personal experience, you don't want 1.0. Oh, early adopters will gladly and readily take it on, but we know the horror stories of Apple updates. (Strangely enough, it doesn't seem Android's that bad; then again, I had a pure Google device - heh-heh.)

What's got me concerned is that you're hearing some upgrade horror stories. But, do they give the whole picture? Did these folks have existing issues? Running leaks? Etc., etc. So many variables.

But like you said, we're used to waiting up here, eh?

I just chatted with a Verizon support person using their web chat. This person maintains that the updates are not pushed from the carrier (Verizon) servers, but from BlackBerry servers. Further they asserted that BlackBerry rolls through the carriers and pushes updates to registered devices at their (BlackBerry's) discretion and that they (Verizon) have no control over this.

While this seems plausible, it could also be a ploy to get me to just go away. Thoughts?

Verizon has to certify them before BlackBerry is allowed to push them. But yes BlackBerry hosts the servers.

It has not been announced for any of the US carriers, so your kind of bothering the wrong person. Verizon will take as long as they please and the support reps have no control.

Sorry about that, I meant to break the servers so that they will push the updates to all of our devices at once instead of rolling out slowly, unfortunately the servers found out my evil plan ..........

Yes that's absolutely what was wrong. Make sure Link is shut down (even close background BlackBerry stuff in task manager if you need to). Sachesi needs full access to your phone.

Yes turning off link did the trick! 10.3 is nice so far, feels a little weird as I was use to 10.2 but I'm getting to really like it!

We have two more factory unlocked Z10s in the house hold and no updates yet. 3rd day is over, hopefully sometime next week the switch will be turned on for us. For now, enjoying the last days of 10.2.1...

Thanks Bob. Appreciate the response. I'm willing to wait a few more days but at a point it's going to be ridiculous that BlackBerry can't even prepare themselves to push out the updates to the devices they said would get the update directly
