I am currently on the Official MR Release Digicel Launched this morning! and I was wondering if the leaked 4687 is better or at least what has changed??

4633 worked really well for me on VZW. Nothing has changed that I've caught on 4687, but my signal doesn't appear as good, nor battery life. Been less than 24hrs, so too soon to truly judge at this point.

4687 Verizon. 19 hours on battery. At 37%. CB a bunch, games, calls, BBM, weather checks, taking and sending a few pics, checking baseball scores, created am avatar, sideloaded an app,downloade one from BBW. First day on this leak...not bad I say...oh on wifi most of the day...good signal on 4G LTE in So. California.

I created this thread because my battery was draining fast and it lags like a fool. But now I can see the difference! My battery can almost last a day! And I'm a heavy user! I love this update. I just wanted to thank you all.

How is this even possible? I'm lucky to get 16 hours and that's if I barely use the phone. Mine is a Z10 btw, if you're using the q I guess this makes sense.

I agree. I get the battery life I would expect. About 6-12hrs, depending on use. Purchased a second battery, and have chargers everywhere, just like always. Even once charged at the Lincoln Memorial.

That's not to say there's no truth to their statement. Everyone uses their phones differently, signal strength varies, and some people's luck is just a bit better.

My carrier just released 4633, I'm currently running the 4687 leak. Is it worth it to downgrade, or potentially do a radio swap to the one in the official carrier release (radio 4634)?

... or maybe I'll just wait for the next leak

Next leaks would be 10.2's. If your happy with your current one, don't downgrade! If you're not then I recommend the official OS.

There's a VZW specific 4634 radio here if you want to see if that's better for you. I have been on a 10.2 for quite some time, so can't vouch for it, and I am not sure if you had this radio or the "2/3/4" radio when you were running 4633. I am strongly considering jumping back to a 10.1 build, and it's probably going to be 4633. 10.2 is great (after a few changes were made), but I find a still few minor irritations with it. 10.1 is really polished, and with the right 10.2 bars it's just about right for what I need right now.

I'm runing the .4687 too and everything is smooth and all, but I really don't like the radio reception.
And with the MR I was wondering the same as you: would it be better to downgrade in case the MR have a better radio for our carrier (Orange France here).
Orange have the strongest network here, but it seems that radio don't like it that much...puzzled about a downgrad indeed...

As the .4687 (last 10.1 leak) doesn't even have the new mail gesture included in.
I'm really thinking to downgrade to a prior version to get the MR with OTA.

I took have a higher leaked version installed (OS v10.1.0.4543) yet my phone is telling me there is an update (OS v 10.1.0.4181) for my phone which is on the Rogers network. Having the higher version I can confirm that the new features like the mail gesture is not present on my current higher leaked version. Can anybody confirm why leaked version are not incremental upgrades. If that is true then there is no point of using the leaked OS updates since they seem to be stripped down of the new features that can be found in lover "maintenance release" versions.

4687 does have the new mail gesture.

Thank you for that clarification. I think the software version and os version should be explained to the cracberry nation as many users do not make the distiction. I will go ahead with the update of the MR.

4633 is very laggy OS, but it has good battery life. 32 hrs for low to medium usage on 3G & H+ signals.
